I think there is no harm in sending an updated letter. But just make sure that there are no major differences in between the latest one and one you sent earlier.

Also, check this link for more details about where to send it.

Hi Capricorn2012
Yes you need to submit your marriage certificate other it will be difficult for them to determine whether you got married or not.

If you get your AOR then you can send it immediately, so plan to get your certificate ASAP.

Hi bhavanig
Thanks for your response
However my problem is that me and my husband are in toronto right now
Ski don't know what's the procedure to apply for a marriage certificate from here
Is it possible to get a certificate in Canada since we have no plans to go to India for at least an year

Hi Capricorn2012,

I think you can try through available channels in India, through either of your parents ( from your side or your husband side ) take originals of all supporting documents, like wedding invitation, payment receipts ( if marriage done in some function hall), photos of your marriage and they can meet resistor office and try to get one for you, but there some problem in this process, even though you have everything you need to present there in person, then only they will issue the Marriage certificate, but if you have somebody who can help you out there in the office then it's all money , if you pay more i believe they can issue the certificate and once you visited India you two go and sign in their records.

Option 2:

Try to call CGI and inquire about that , if then can help you out in this matter.

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the help.. I will try to get it done from India... Will ask my parents to go and check with the authorities there
Although with my application - I have sent my wedding card .. Marriage certificate from the Sikh temple.. My husbands PR CARD.. SIN etc..

If only Sikh temple is authorized to issue your MC,
Then that's the case you are alright? you had sent the Marriage certificate which got from the Sikh temple ( Normally CIC have to treat this as Marriage certificate, any issue on that?) If you are still un-sure then you could notarized and get an affidavit here and sent it over to CIC and explain them the situation with some of your marriage pics and i think they will be ok with that.

Let's see what seniors will suggest.

All October's AORs have been received. Did any November applicant receive AOR so far?
