I thought they sent our CoPR by email....... ???
COPR always comes in the post - never e-mail.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me. I guess it's more of an official document. Will check my mail tomorrow.jsm0085 said:COPR always comes in the post - never e-mail.

When was it issued? The date of issue on CoPR.
mrFoce said:Issue date: 29th of November. Date on the post stamp mentions December 4th.
ps: I would be surprised if you did not get it in the regular mail tomorrow.
------------
Landing: I am planning on visiting the US in the weekend in order to do my landing. It would take about 45 days to get my PR card, which I need for travel. I'm leaving Canada the end of this year for a trip to Europe and will be back early January and was originally planning on doing my landing at that point, but due various reasons I would like it if I could start my time as PR earlier than early January.
Question: If I 'land' this weekend, do I request 'urgent' processing of my PR card since I am leaving Canada December 23rd? What if it doesn't arrive on time. Will I be able to keep my work permit (expires in May 2014) and use that to enter the border, while waiting for the PR card to come in?
Worst case I just land in January, it's not a big problem but I would like to land this weekend if possible.
Anyone has an idea?
eds1275 said:I require Visa stamping to land as PR. My passport has reached Ottawa yesterday. I'm only hoping to get it before ChristmasThx.
Now, regarding your landing situation:
If you land this weekend, you can request for urgent processing. See the website for further details: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/pr-card/apply-urgent-processing.asp . They do not guarantee that you'll get it before you travel.
If, for some reason, you're unable to receive your PR card before leaving Canada, you'd need to apply for a travel document. See the website for further details: www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=064&t=10 and www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/travel.asp
Happy landing !
