I wish that was true. But for New Delhi Visa office the passport request comes before they do all the background checks and determine the genuiness of the relationship.oneandonly said:Congrats your at the finish line whoo hoo
They are sure backwards lol but I'm praying your wife gets to come to canada soon.karan1916 said:I wish that was true. But for New Delhi Visa office the passport request comes before they do all the background checks and determine the genuiness of the relationship.
The email says that this passport request does not guarantee the issuance of visa.
Lets see how long it takes from here, but i guess this is beginning towards the end of process
Congratulations sir...karan1916 said:Hi my wife got her passport request from NDVO today. Please update the sheet to reflect this.

Well I pray we land around the same time or you before. My email said the same thing they don't guarantee a visa, blah blah blah. You will be fine.karan1916 said:I wish that was true. I really like the way you think!bscinto92 said:congrats karan1916, no matter how much longer it takes... thats another step closer and that's great. i like to think of things this way lately... if you don't hear from CIC through most of your process, then that's probably a good thing because that means they're not questioning if the relationship is genuine or not or looking for something you forgot to include with your application. if you do hear from CIC, it's more than likely going to be because something was incomplete in your application, something was missing or they see lots of red flags (which i dont see happen too often) ... so basically my point is, as much as it sucks to wait and not hear anything in between and kinda be left hangin..... no contact from CIC could mean your application was put together well and there's no doubts about it which in my book is a good thing : D! lol.... just a little theory of mine i guess i just get too deep in thought about these kinds of things.
Aw i'm sorry he has to leave : ( make the most out of your last week together!! i know feeling all too well and i know what its like to be apart for so many months at a time and i wouldnt wanna go through that again either. in fact i still am going through it right now, crazy to think that during these months last year i was up there with him and now im back home without him : ( we see each other a coupe of times in between but its never enough time, it always goes by way too fast. hope that you can get up to canada with your husband soon<3BrazilianGirl said:I really like the way you think!
As for me, I'm here going a little insane because hubby is leaving Brazil in a week. I've asked for a Visitor Visa to go back with him and wait for the process there in Canada, but we still haven't heard anything about it... =/
I hope everything goes well! We have been away from each other for 8 months in the past, and I don't wanna stay away from him again!
Btw, congrats to all of you who have the process moving forward and for all of you who have already gotten your PRs!
Cheers!
Thanks for the good wishes, love!bscinto92 said:Aw i'm sorry he has to leave : ( make the most out of your last week together!! i know feeling all too well and i know what its like to be apart for so many months at a time and i wouldnt wanna go through that again either. in fact i still am going through it right now, crazy to think that during these months last year i was up there with him and now im back home without him : ( we see each other a coupe of times in between but its never enough time, it always goes by way too fast. hope that you can get up to canada with your husband soon<3
Has the Canadian spouse contacted CIC yet? There was a big delay on sponsorship approval for several of us November applicants, but I think almost everyone has gotten approval now. You should contact CIC immediately, possibly your Member of Parliament.Alex_29 said:Does anyone in here still waiting for sponsorship approval??
