Grats guys!!! Wait, they send them in the mail?!! So even though I'm in Canada it's going to send it to my address in Florida?! Holy crap I'd better let my parents know to keep an eye out for it!

That depends, did you put your mailing address in Canada? When I did my application, I put down my residential address in Florida, but my mailing address in Canada. Check that out!

If you don't mind sharing, did you choose arranged marriage or not in your application? The general definition of arrange marriage is that parents choose and decide. In your case, you guys met first, then had families meet. Presumably getting their "permission" to get married... then went on dates, etc before the wedding. My situation is similar, but the timeline from meeting to getting married is longer.

Hey All-
Just wanted to let you know that I received my COPR in the mail this morning!!! Less than a week after ECAS changed to Decision Made.

This process took 181 days, or exactly 6 months. My plan is to land tomorrow.

I can't thank you all enough for answers and support given in the past 6 months. I was quite the lurker on here and just recently started posting. Thank you thank you thank you!!

hi all. Look at all the good news.. so excited for all the updates when I get home. Will be coloring the spreadsheet early next week!

For those with concerns about the length of a relationship. Mr. Malawi and I just completed our interview and we were together for only a month and a half before we got married and it was seen as a dark orange flag. However as the IO said, our answers proved it was for the right reasons. And the IO also told us he didn;t view anything in our application of supporting documents except for our photos.

I will send an update when I get back to Canada. But for those with interviews. Its a different feeling, I can say that!

I hoped it all went great with the interview, will be waiting to hear more soon...

Has anyone under a visitors visa applied for Healthcare? Im living in Alberta and under Alberta Health care Insurance Plan it says you can apply if the first stage is approved and have a valid visitors visa. Just wondering if anyone has done this.

Yes, we received it snail mail in Canada. PPR 4/23, "decision made" 4/30, COPR received 5/2 -- about a week and a half from PPR. Also, I sent them the passport scan the same day I got the PPR.

Well we mailed them 300 pages of additional documents yesterday... $76 later. Ugh. Can I claim all this postage on my taxes next year? LOL

Just landed today at Peace Arch/Blaine, WA border crossing. Just FYI when you flagpole, you can either go to US secondary to get your passport stamped OR just drive into Blaine and buy something (gas in our case) and get a receipt as proof that you left Canada. I knew about the stamp thing from this forum, but only heard of the second option from the US immigration officer. (It's usually way faster.) The first IO on the Canadian side took a look at the receipt before giving me the yellow slip to go to secondary for the landing. Landing itself was very quick.

Clicking on DM says, "We started processing your application on May 2, 2013"

I was checking my ecas today and I also have DM and no address change

My timeline start to finish is

Application filed - Nov 28, 2012
First Stage Approval - March 1, 2013
Passport request - March 22, 2013
Ecas shows - We started processing your application on May 1, 2013 and a decision has been made.

It changed directly from Application Received to Decision Made.
