Although it is a good idea, to prepare the educational documents, translations etc. and save the money for the time when the stream will be open again.

Depends man, its not a definite 8 months. It can take 9 months as well. For many including myself it took 9 months. In that case it would be April. But yes, it is rare for the process to extend to 10 months and beyond. So 8-9 months is your best bet.

I (primary applicant) and my spouse yyy (dependant) have applied for NS-PNP (Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee program under NSD-EE (NovaScotida Demand Express Entry under the category of zzz License practical nurse. My date of birth is wwww and passport number is ssssssss (date of expiry 28/01/2020). I did not hire any representative for my file processing.
I send my application via courier on 02 July, 2015 and it was received on 06 July 2015 in Nova Scotia office. I am very much worried about my application processing as because it has been almost 8 months but and I did not receive any response from Nova Scotia on my Email .xxxxxxx87@gmail.com . Hence, it is my humble request to you to look into the matter and kindly inform me.

Here's a prediction of their response: "NSOI will not contact you before your file reaches the first stage of processing, which is completeness check, and at this time this is taking 10 months or more".

As the 2016's immigration levels are going to be disclosed in the next week, we might either get good or bad news. Then, you can expect your file to be processed (and get your application number) anytime between May and August.
