oladelemary,

The case officer has not asked for fine tuning nor revised employment letter. The officer has asked just to compare prempaulj's duties & responsibilities that he provided in his emp ref letters with the NOC 2173's lead statement including all other essential duties and most of the duties.

Please read carefully before suggesting. btw, it is not mandatory to meet 100%, there is no exact percent calculation; the requirement is to meet lead statement and major duties & responsibilities of the NOC code.

On page 21 of the application form, there is a document checklist: "For Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry you will require documentation to show work experience match with NOC 2011", the officer is asking for this.

@ prempaulj, what you submitted for this required document at the time you applied ?

My understanding of the matter is that the officer is not satisfied with his roles and duties in the reference letter(s) and/or his CV. Hence the need to tell him to compare or revise.

If the duties are @ a greater percentage similar to the ones stated for 2173 by the NOC guideline, there is no need asking for him to start " cross matching"....... Not Sudoku now ;D ;D ;D

Yes, it seems to be a Sudoku, because NS is playing that :D

So, how will you make difference between these two required documents asked by NS in the application form ??

1. Supporting employment history and documents
2. For Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry you will require documentation to show work experience match with NOC 2011

Do you think both are same? If yes, then its funny to ask for same docs twice :D If no, then its really Sudoku my friend :D

personally I submitted:
1. Appointment letter, description of duties letter from my supervisor 100% in tune with the NOC guideline though not copied and paste. And of course I performe(d) all those roles, promotion letter and confirmation of appointment letter, pay stubs.

2. Submitted a comprehensive Curriculum vitae.

I did not print out the NOC page for registered nurses and Psychiatric nurses (3012).

Yes, you are right, oladelemary. I remember, I have only submitted Reference letter but I did not submit anything more than that to match..
Kindly share, what should I submit now?

your case officer was satisfied with what you submitted, not necessary other officer will be the same. But you didn't submit a separate documentation to show work experience match with NOC 2011 that they asked in the document checklist but fortunately you were not caught :D

prempaulj,

I suggested you what to do. Check my previous messages. But its your choice and decision that what you should submit. I have not seen your employee ref letter so not sure if you have send your duties & responsibilities properly or not. You need to send both revised emp ref letter and matching document if you have not shown your duties properly. If your ref letter is ok then just send the matching doc.

well, i would not say my supporting documents were not complete because I didnt submit a " cross R and R " match, my R and R letters and CV SHOWED that they match my NOC.

my understanding of the clause " documentation to show experience match with NOC" meant my R and R letters and CV........ not some cross matching stuffs. I expected the officer to have my R and R letters by his side as well and the NOC guide and do the matching.

anyways, i hate crossword puzzle and Sudoku. my officer played the game

oladelemary,

I am still not satisfied the way you described " documentation to show experience match with NOC"....

If it was meant to provide ref letter and cv then why there is another separate checklist for Resume / Curriculum Vitae ?? At the end, you are ignoring what is meant by asking "doc to show work experience match with NOC 2011" by NS !!

May I know how the matching doc should be?
Should it be on the Company Letter Head or can I write in a Word document and send it through mail?

Please spare if I ask trivial questions

prempaulj,

In my case, i directly printed the page up to the Main duties section from http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=2&val1=2173&val65=* and used a yellow marker and marked the lines that matches to my duties explained in my emp ref letter. And submitted it as the document required in the section "For Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry you will require documentation to show work experience match with NOC 2011"

I, myself was pretty confused that time thinking what i should send for this required doc. Later i decided to send it by my own judgement and I was not asked for additional doc.

If you send the same way i did, make sure you are confident about your given emp ref letter, if you emp ref letter is not properly written then sending this matching doc will not work.

Dear Snehan,

1- Does our Resume paly the matching role? I thought that Resume plays that role based on mentioned information in NSNP guide document and checklist. what is your idea?

2- By the way, should our resume matches with most of duties in NOC 2011? it is strange because in each occupation there are different fields of activity so there are different duties in an occupation. in my point of view an employee may cover a small aspect of all duties mentioned in NOC 2011 website. My friends please let discuss more about it as it is very important factor in our application.

thank you

Hi hope 2015,

1. Yes our resume should play the matching role but between your resume and emp ref letter. But i believe the resume is not considered as the matching element between ref letter and duties mentioned in NOC 2011 page. Beacuse u cannot use your own document to match your own document, can u? And see that preampaulj's case officer is referring to cic NOC code page to do the comparison.

2. Yes our resume should match as well with the NOC duties mentioned.Different field has different NOC but in same NOC,the duties more or less will match. They listed the responsibilities in such a way that it will definitely match if u r doing job related to that NOC. Those are defined on high level and whatever you write in your own duties, the core meaning will definitely match.

I hope this makes sense.thank u.

Hi friends

My name luder, India national, working in Abu Dhabi, UAE as a nurse.

Can anyone help me with this doubt?

In NSNP guide something is mentioned about photo specs '1 passport sized colour photograph (taken and date stamped within six months of application)

Can anyone explain to me how I can do that date stamping? Kindly suggest.,

I have another issue as well. I created Express entry profile 4 months ago. The Job bank validation code is the last 4 digits of my passport. But now I renewed my passport because NSNP wants passport expiry no older that 2 years. Mine was having only 9 months of validity. So I renewed. I deleted old and added new in my EE profile. Now I have all docs ready to send to NSNP.

Now should I create a new profile and job bank account before sending NSNP application or can I use the same EE number and the validation code, as the code for job bank is not the last 4 numbers of my new passport?

please help.,

I find this site extremely helpful

thank you fellas
