Hi Folks been made a job offer within Nova Scotia and they are going for Nova Scotia Providence Nomination my question is do I still need the required settlement funds if I have a job offer via providence nomination
You do not need to show proof of funds if you have a valid job offer.johnjholland said:Hi Folks been made a job offer within Nova Scotia and they are going for Nova Scotia Providence Nomination my question is do I still need the required settlement funds if I have a job offer via providence nomination
If you've been offered a job and you don't have a work permit, have PR or you're not a canadian citizen..then the job requires an LMIA. Don't think you quite understand what an LMIA is...johnjholland said:Hi There
no it is not a LMIA but it is calssed as a skilled worker and they are applying through skilled worker stream as shown below
Skilled Worker
The Skilled Worker stream helps employers recruit foreign workers and recently graduated international students whose skills are needed in Nova Scotia. An employer can only hire foreign workers for positions they have been unable to fill with permanent residents or Canadian citizens.
If you PR application gets rejected it will probably be for reasons other than the provincial nomination. So it will probably not change even with NSNP nomination. In fact, if you get AOR of NS while your PR is in process or unsuccessful, then you might be in some trouble. The NS guys ask you whether you have applied for PR before (to check what location you had opted for) as well as if you have nomination from another province. In both these questions you are cornered.number411 said:HELP REQUIRED
I had sent my application package to NSNP in October 2015 and waiting for AOR. Meanwhile I had applied and got nominated from SINP. I have also got an ITA and submitted my PR application and got AOR. My Plan A is to get PR via SINP and process is well underway.
I only want to keep this Nova Scotia as plan B, if for some reasons my PR app gets rejected beyond the SINP nomination validity period. Who knows if I'll get SINP nomination again because my NOC may not be in their demand list.
By May or June, Nova Scotia app might get processed and I might get nominated by them in Sept 2016, so I'll trigger Plan B at that time, if Plan A fails. According to this strategy, I will withdraw my Nova Scotia app only in May 2016 after looking at the progress of my PR application via GCMS notes. Does this make sense?
Will there be any problem if CIC or CBSA comes to know that I have applied to two provinces for PNP? Technically, an application for PN can be considered even "In Process" only after they send an acknowledgement right? At this time, I'm only waiting for the 8 long months before they even send an acknowledgement, isnt it?
Even the Skilled Worker stream requires LMIA supported job offers.johnjholland said:Hi There

I've never heard of this cool period? On the contrary, I've only seen people correcting their documents and reapplying as soon as possible. In fact, I've even seen people immediately doing a CSE and reopening a rejected application? Can you please give me some link that talks about a "cool period" between two successive eAPRs if I get an ITA immediately after rejection? Also there is a certain cool down period between PR applications for unsuccessful candidates. I don't think you can repetitively keep applying in short intervals unless your position changes.
I'm only talking about rejection for technical reasons such as some documentation problem. I'm sure I satisfy eligibility, security, criminality and other checks. After AOR, where will NS guys ask me about "whether I've applied for PR before", because we are not filling any other application? The AOR was for application sent 8 months ago, isn't it? I think I don't understand what you're saying here at all.MarvelMagnum said:If you PR application gets rejected it will probably be for reasons other than the provincial nomination. Yes, thats my hope and Plan A, too!I hope you get your PR application approved and then you can just withdraw your NSNP application when you get AOR from them. That will be the best way for you.
CIC asked for (copying and pasting CIC request for documents message):ritawallu said:What kind of docs did cic asked for? Also, when they send aor, do they send the msg in cic account or our personal emails?
Thanks a lot victor.....that was really of immens. I wish you get your PR soon and your patience of waiting ends.victorhora said:CIC asked for (copying and pasting CIC request for documents message):
* IELTS: Original IELTS language proficiency results
-> On-line score report and photocopies are not acceptable (Don't understand why they asked again... I scanned the original again, uploaded to myCIC account and they just accepted)
* Schedule 4 - Prov Nominees: A newly completed Schedule 4 Economic Classes - Provincial
Nominees form (Have no idea why they asked again as I have correctly filled this one when doing the PR application via myCIC)
* Schedule 4A- Prov Nominee: A newly completed Schedule 4A - Economic Classes - Provincial
Nominees - Business Nominees form (Also have no idea why as I have correctly filled this one too when doing the initial PR application via myCIC)
When *CIC* sends AOR, they send through myCIC account. When *NS Office of Immigration* send me anything, they sent to my personal e-mail address that I put on my application.
Btw, I received the AOR from CIC on the same day I did the PR application for CIC.
Thanks for the positive thoughts matepoonam_nagrani said:Hi victorhora,
