Hi Everyone,


I am preparing to apply for Permanent Residency through the Nova Scotia Experience: Express Entry (NSEEE) provincial program.


I wanted to create this thread so we can share our experiences with this program. I scanned previous posts but couldn't find any recent discussions on this topic.


I currently work in an occupation classified as TEER 2. My employer is not based in Nova Scotia, but my salary is processed through the Nova Scotia tax system. This is because my position is 100% travel-based, but I have been living in Nova Scotia for the past two years.


I’m wondering if anyone else is in a similar situation and whether I need to provide any specific explanation when applying. If you or someone you know has dealt with this, I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience!

As already indicated not feasible if not a NS employer. Even if a NS employer quite tough these days to get ITS unless target industry.

Sorry, I am misunderstood i guess.

I have not applied for the nomination yet. I am asking if there is anyone else in a similar situation.


My company’s base address is in Montreal, but they have many workstations across Canada, including Nova Scotia. My employment agreement lists my location as Nova Scotia, but I work all across Canada depending on my schedule. However, my salary is processed through the Nova Scotia tax system, and I have been living in Nova Scotia for two years.


My NOC Code is 72400.


If anyone has had a similar experience, I would appreciate hearing how it was handled.

Do they have a physical office and how many people work there?

Thanks for your comment. Do you have any recommendation if they don't accept this application ( like moving to another province) I know Quebec is also tricky when it comes to Nominee Programs. I think they postponed their Skilled Worker Program avalibility.

The employer is not eligible if not registered as a NS business and paying taxes as one.

The issue is you also aren’t living in Quebec and not sure about your French ability. Can you not ask your employer to transfer you to the Nova Scotia office? Your employer being located in Quebec while you live in Nova Scotia and you appear to work across multiple provinces makes applying to many programs problematic.

The issue is that the employer must be NS based, paying taxes as NS company and be registered as one.

I know but I am referencing PR programs in general. The fact that their employer is in Quebec, while living in NS and working across Canada rules out many of the PR programs. At least being employed out of the NS office would make things like CEC a better option.

I m asking my company if they meets the criterias listed in the NS immigration official website. I will let you know about the process. thanks for your interest guys
