Not correct.

I quote points from CSE webpage:

"You may use this form if:
•You have submitted an application at a visa office abroad.
•The information you seek is not available on E-cas .
•Your application has exceeded normal processing times. We will not respond to your enquiry if the application is within normal processing times. Information on processing times.
•You wish to report important changes regarding your application, such as births, deaths, marriages, divorces, adoptions, changes in address, changes in employment, acquisition of a new educational credential, results of an approved language test. "
This form can't be used since the instructions say to use this form IF you have submitted an application at a visa office abroad and I think the applicant submitted the application in Canada.

I just stressed the important part.
Yes so change in employment is an important part of an application. What if they call his previous employer (one he claimed experience from) and he/she says no one like that is working here ??
His application will be most likely considered under misrepresentation. I have seen couple of cases like that. I considered it is very important to inform them about Changes is employment. Others opinion may vary.

Informing them surely doesn't have any disadvantage or advantage, it just gets you on safe side incase if they make a verification call. It surely doesn't affect application in any way.

You can my friend. I myself have submitted withdrawal application for CEC application using that form. They actually replied with a piece of document they need from me to proceed.

I miss your point here. How informing CIC about current employer (which is completely out of scope of the application which is about past experience) would prevent from CIC to call previous employer and from previous employer to say that the applicant "wasn't working here"?

that's exactly why I wanted to inform them. in case they ever call my previous employer and they say I no longer work there. then I am in big trouble.
Should I send email or use CSE.

Also I got a reference letter from my previous employer that indicates my full employment period. Should I attach that?

Inform them via CSE(as your application is now at Ottawa), and as your application is no longer(as you received AOR) at CIO-Sydney, so emailing them is just waste of time. No need to attach or send any documents from pervious employer or current employer. Just mention in CSE that if they need anything just to let you know.

I would suggest to inform CIC via email. Use this email address (cpc-ctd-ottawa @ cic.gc.ca) to inform them. Don't forget to include all your details including UCI, application number, DOB, full name as per passport.
I have used this email address to communicate with CIC and it worked. Hopefully it will work for you as well. :)

This might be interesting for people who wants to notify CIC about job changes (or about any other unrelated matter)

Hi Folks,

I have been placed in the express entry pool and I have a good score. But there is something bugging me and I wanted to get some opinion on it.

I was a postdoc from April 2016 to April 2017, for one year. However, I started another job in March 2017 while I was still a postdoc. Therefore, there is 2 months of overlap which I was working at two different place.s, both full-time meaning I was working around 75 hrs per week for two months.

However, in my CEC application I only put down my work experience as post-doc which is one year, 52 weeks, 35 hrs per week. I have enough score and I will be be picked out of pool in the next draw. I did not mention my other job as my score was high enough.

Here is my question: Do I have to withdraw my application and make a new one and include my other work?

Please help.

Thanks.
