"Notice to Prepare for your Citizenship Exam"?

Hi everyone!
My dad just received a letter yesterday that his interview is on March 28, 2014 at the St. Clair office even though his home office is Mississauga and he is over 54 years old which means he does not have to do the test!
Can anyone plz tell me how long does he have to wait for oath after this iinterview?

UPDATE: Receieved a letter today to write a test on March 31 at St. Clair office.

Things are moving fast. I'm an RQed case but my test+interviews was Jan 30 2014 and my Oath was March 19 2014

Can you tell why you guess you were RQed? what trigger the officer ? and was it pre-test or post-test?

Thanks for your reply bangloboy... whats your home office? And do u think he is gonna get the oath letter that soon too cuz he is travelling in end of May so it would be better if he gets the citizenship before

I'm not CIC so can't comment but my best wishes he gets it early

I was self employed for a period with numerous travels in and out that's all - just my bad luck too! My timeline is in my signature

hmm i also renewed my pr. be patient hopefully before the end of april we will pass the written test or atleast will have date to write the test.

Passed test & interview on 18th march. citizenship officer said a judge will now review the file and may be in 2-4 mths will receive letter for ceremony,

timeline : apply april 2013

received rq oct 2013 & sent all docs end oct
notice to prepare for exams dec 2013
letter to appear for test 4th march 2014

An advice to all those preparing for the test : doing the online questions is good but more important is to read the guide properly.
