What happen if your fail the test? Do you have to go the normal process again?

Thank you everyone.
They give you a chance to retake the exam.

But it's relatively easy. Just make an effort to read and reread the booklet.
Do some online practice tests (plenty out there) and restudy your weak points (questions you failed to answer correctly).

Honestly, the actual test is relatively easy, in fact much easier than those online tests.

Here is from CIC:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/cit-test.asp

If you do not pass the written test, but meet the other requirements for citizenship, we will schedule you for a second test. If you do not pass the second test, we will send you a notice telling you to come to an interview with a citizenship judge.

The interview will last 30 to 90 minutes. At that interview, the judge will ask you the test questions orally so you have another chance to show that you meet all the conditions (including knowledge and language).

If you are asked to go to an interview, but you applied for citizenship with your family by sending your applications in the same envelope, we will process your application separately from your family's unless you want them to be processed together.

Passed my test today 20/20. got the oath letter right away for April 2nd. I strongly suggest to study book, practice test from http://www.apnatoronto.com/. Apna Toronto tests are very helpful! I had many trips to my home country, Dubai, and to the U.S. The person checked all the stamps and verified by CBSA report. Please do get a copy from CBSA and know your reasons about your trips (vacation, business etc...).... I included the letter of employment with my application, i think this was very helpful, I also saw that they verified that letter, there was stamp on the letter.

Good luck to all :)

Here is the timeline:
We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on October 9, 2013.

We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 9, 2013. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We started processing your application on December 11, 2013.

Hello Parri,

My home office is St. Clairs.

On other hand, I would like to share my experience of test and interview.

We had test at 1 PM but we reached the Sobeys for parking, which is very near to immigration office by 12:30 PM.
At 12:45 PM, we were in the main lobby where everyone was waiting. We didn't find any empty seats. We stood for 15 mts and sharp at 1 PM, one immigration lady sarted to announce regarding tests that overall it might take upto 3 hours for test which includes written test for 30 mts and document verification for approximately 2 hours as we how to wait.
I had issue as I took my six years old daughter along with me. They will not allow her to sit alone. Also, either of us have to reschedule the test as she can't be left alone. Fortunately, I found one of far friend who was just waiting as his wife went for examination along with us. We were releaved and left my daughter with him. So, please make sure that you don't take under age childrens during test and interview.

Please study hard from study material and then give exams on apnatoronto.com and other sites.
Our test went fine. They didn't allow me and my wife to sit together as we are family. My wife scored cent percent and I got 19 out of 20.
We came outside and sat for near about 90 mts until we were called together. Immigration lady was too good. First she told my wife to present PR card, Passport, landing papers and photo identification (driver license or health card). She told me that first she will talk to my wife and then later on it will be my turn.

My wife's case was very straight forward and everything went fine. Couple of basic questions like what you do for living, about trip outside of Canada and other basic questions to check her English. Everything went well.

Now, its my turn. I presented same identification documents. She told me that documentation provided in Questionaire were too good and have all the details. She has analyzed all the documents and only have one question regarding my very frequent visits to USA.
I knew that this question would come and was totally prepared. I took deep breadth and told her that I work in multinational company and have operations across the world. My corporate office is in USA so, I have to travel there very frequedntly (mostly once a month) since last 5 years. Also, I have been travelling to other countries in Europe and South America. As, I travel through road, US immigration don't stamp my L1 each and everytime I travel outside as they only stamp it for the first time when I got my I-94. I showed her my both L1 visa stamps and the latest I-94.
She was totally convinced as this is the procedure of USA and I can't do anything as to why they don't stamp each and everytime.
I added further that, as per my company policy I can't travel in flights to Michigan.

She told both us that she is convinced with everything and would pass on the same statement to Judge. She told told me that, now I would not require visa to go to my Corporate office in USA.

She told me that now our case is normal and have to wait for 3-4 month or less for Oath. they will intimate us through mail.

we greeted each other and exchanged good words.

By the Grace of God, things went fine.

All the Best to each and Everyone.

Take Care!

Thanks Afghanboy!

Based on what I have heard from them, the immigration officer told me that, if someone plans for any out of country trip than we need to intimate them with the duration so that they don't schedule Oath for them.

Thanks
