Maybe they went there without informing their employer, you have suppose to inform your employer of what specific date your arrival. There are some instances that the immigration calls the employer if your name is not on their computer. @mdeleon

Visa on hand.

Maybe CEM based it on the expiration of your passport.
If that so then, your work permit will be the same as your date of your visa expiration.
You have to apply for LMO and Visa/work permit.
You have to exit Canada again.

5 months at least before your visa expired you can process your work permit again inland Canada. (LMO takes time longer now.)
Don't stress about renewing your work permit in less than a year. Your visa is approved now. Its quit the same as those 2 years permit. Just a difference of a year only. Right?

My passport is newly renewed and expiry is 2019.. I suspect that they probably refer the 6 months base on what was indicated on my job offer and contract that I will be on 6 months probation first, then put on permanent. As it say's that on the contract and Job offer "Full time employment, with 6 months probationary" It did not state the full time and permanent or 12 months or 24 months..So this is probably the reason why CIC only issued a 6 months work permit validity and visa...

but I will file extension once I arrived in Alberta and will take the license certification examination as Welder, as this is requirements base on my job and experience...

Ben, meron ka bang copy ng compliance form or sheet?

Pare, maybe because you are under in the Pilot Program that they given you of only 6 months.

Regarding on the compliance sheet ( on my understanding is the POLO). Yes I still have. But it has already our signature affixed on it.
POEA will provide you a copy anyway when you process your PDOS and OEC.

Ok. Go to POEA now.
And start packing.
Summer is approaching.

@darksiders -Yes! You will receive a "Letter of Introduction" to which you "must" print and submit along with your passport at the POE. Although you will receive it also as hard copy once you received your passport with the visa stamped in your passport.

The problem is, I don't have the copy of the compliance sheet, they did not give me one.. They just told me that they will be the one who will email the employer and even ask me to write a letter of explaination how I apply for the job.. I just don't know if when they will email the employer or not sure.. I need to go back there on Monday. coz the instruction is not really clear...I hope you can email me a sample copy of the compliance sheet on it looks like. so at least I have an idea...

Nabasa ko na ang compliance sheet..Baka mg bigay sila sa akin pg balik ko sa POEA ngayon lunes..mg ask ako about sa compliance sheet.kasi hindi clear ang info na ibinigay sa akin ng taga POEA kasi ang ingay dun andaming tao...so ito lang talaga ang dapat i email sa employer na pirmahan nila...mg tanong nalang ako sa kanila..
