I also follow that news recently and we here in Canada also affected especially our fellow Filipinos here who are going to renew their contract and on that matter needs LMO. It cause us to worry as well.
Let puts this way.
I was in the situation as yours TFW before.
I was one of those affected by pre 2008 FSW. Remember my fellow applicant.
We waited for almost 8yrs but then it did not materialized.
Come to think of it the money that we spend, time, waiting ( think of it 8 years ) and those opportunity that we have passed because we have a pending application at CEM. My eCAS then was March 21, 2005. I was almost there.
8 years of wasted time for Canada.
I was devastated then.
But Life for me must go on.
But I did not lose hope that this will be not the end of the road for me.
I tried another route.
I went abroad. I worked in Middle East. I was in a Tiny island in the Pacific just to try my luck and to support my family.
And try to cover up those 8 yrs of waiting that I wasted just for Canada.
Maybe this is not the right time for you and for other applicants.
Someone up there has a plan for each everyone.
It will come soon. This moratorium will be lifted soon.
Just wait.
