Hello,

I was wondering if I can notarize/certify all the documents in local bank for free, instead of UPS store for $5/doc?
Is there any difference for the notary? Are the documents notarized by local bank OK to Alberta as well?

Thank you very much!

Depends on your branch notary. Some branches of BOA do it for free if you have an account with them, while some branches of BOA don't do it at all!!! My local branch first refused to do it as they were Indian degree certificates, but then she checked with somebody on the phone and then agreed to do it. Check with your local branch. My friends local branch too refused to do it and she got it done at a UPS store.

those who are looking for 'free' public notary service, please check at your local 'City Hall' preferably in mayor's office

I did same thing , I live in Portland

also check in city library

there is no point giving $5 per page or doc...
