Hi, I live in the US and my Canadian husband who lives in Alberta would be my sponsor, we've been married for a few months since October. I feel like everyone advises against the inland application, but I'm sick of traveling back and forth and want an easier way to get a work permit. Last time I was in canada, I was there for 6 months, I don't know if I'm allowed to live in Canada for a longer period of time than i live in the US. I've never had a job so far because I've just been selling online, but recently I've really wanted a stable source of income, so moving back and forth and trying to get a new job seems very difficult. Is it true that you can't leave during your application, because not being able to see my family for possibly 2 years would make me sad. I just feel very conflicted, so please offer me some advice.
I guess I'm leaning towards inland, to avoid the constant travel and be able to work in canada easier, but everyone advices against it and not being able to appeal or leave potentially for years seems scary to me.
