Hi all,
Just received Test and Oath invitation(same day if pass the test) in mail.

You guys have any idea, this means no RQs to be issued post test? I have heard that if you have received both invitations in the same envelope.

Please share

There is always a risk of getting an RQ but as you have already got an oath invitation only if CIC discover something unexpected at the interview or you fail to bring all the required documentation.

Hi all,

I need help from you. I have a real emergency. I need to fly to my country on 3rd week of November with the following timeline:

1.Received application: January 26, 2015.
2.Sent correspondence acknowledging receipt: March 5, 2015.
3.Started processing : March 12, 2015.
4.Test : September 2, 2015

ECAS changed from In Process to Decision Made September 28th, 2015

Now my question is:

Can I buy my ticket with my existing Passport and fly after oath with new Canadian passport?

Or I need to wait until I get my Canadian passport to buy my ticket?

I don't think you can do it since the passport you are buying your ticket with should be the same you are checking in with but I may be wrong. But why don't you just use your existing passport for this trip? Why do you want to use a Canadian one? Does it make a difference?

I did my test today and today I received a request for fingerprints
any idea of the fastest place in Calgary and how much it costs?

There is an RCMP approved agency on the SE, on Manila Rd. (can't remember the name but it us on the cic list). My hubby got the fingerprint request on Tuesday morning, we called this place right away and we were told that they can do it the same day. We went there right away and got it done in 15 minutes. They are open unti 5.30 pm every day. It all went smoothly and quickly.

I checked their name: Legal Ease Document Services, 4620 Manilla Rd SE.
Hope this helps.

Hey folks,

I received an invitation letter for the citizenship test in the mail earlier today. Really messed up when the date slated for test was 3 days ago! I saw the notification on ECAS yesterday and was shocked to see "We sent you a notice on October 5, 2015 to appear and write the citizenship test on October 5, 2015 at 9:00 AM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us".....

I spoke with a call centre agent over the phone yesterday and they figured out that it wasn't my fault for not showing up for the test, and that I'll need to send a letter explaining the situation to the office in Calgary. The agent also promised to forward instructions as per putting together the letter asking for a rescheduled date but nothing came into my inbox even though she confirmed my email address during our conversation.

Looking at the letter, first page confirms the 5th October test date but the last page (attached document) had "Your Citizenship interview/test will be held in Calgary on October 29th, 2015...including documents to bring along (PR card, AB govt issue ID, landing papers etc.) and furthermore stated if i passed the test/interview, I will receive an invitation to attend a Citizenship ceremony in Calgary on Oct 29th @ 2pm.

Has anyone experienced similar issue? I will appreciate any piece of advice you folks can offer as per getting the matter resolved with CIC. I plan to send them a fax and mail tomorrow.

Thanks in advance.

Appl received: February 2, 2015.
AOR: March 8, 2015.
started processing application: April 16, 2015.

I called an agent few minutes ago and she confirmed the error was on their (CIC's) part and that the 29 Oct date was for the Citizenship test. :)

I have always used L-1 (now Morpho?) in the Rocky Mountain Plaza (right across from calgary public library) downtown. Can't recall the cost though.

I have no problem to fly with my existing passport, but problem is if I get my oath date before flying then they will take my PR card, and I cannot get into Canada without PR card.... That's my dilemma.

I get you. I would tell cic the date of my trip and ask them to possibly not set me for an oath for any of those days but only after I returned to Canada.

Still waiting for oath invitation since passing the test on Aug 27 2015.

Office: Calgary

Test: Aug 27 2015

Anyone got oath invitation who took the test between Aug 20 - Aug 30

Thanks for sharing
