You cannot do anything until you are in Canada. When you go through immigration, study permit may be stamped to say you can work. If it says you cannot work on or off campus then you cannot work part time.Hi guys,
Warm greetings from my camp.
I submitted my passport for the visa stamping on last week Monday 18th and I got it today 28th December.
However, my class in January is already full so I've deferred to Spring intake which start on April 02, 2024. That's not the issue.
My worry is that I was expecting category - SW1 visa but I had S1 category...which means I can't work as a student.... How do I address this?
1. Would this affect me in terms of part time work?
2. If yes, how do I address this to enable me work part-time as an international student?
@Naturgrl, @scylla, etc.
If you have these conditions, you have to apply inside Canada to change conditions of your work permit. You cannot work until approved. So make sure you have enough funds to live while waiting which could be 4 - 5 months.
