Hey, any update?

Hey, any update?

Haven't heard anything since the last update on the 18th so our our count is:
Days since submission: 46 - Weeks since submission: 6.6

Guess we'll submit a webform around week 10 of waiting... Hope we hear something by end of Nov so we can at least have the time to defer if needed.

I applied on 19 September and my medical test and biometric updated on 29 September and eligibility and background check has on the same day.
But still no response from ircc after that.
How long will it take for them??
I applied for Canada student visa.

If you applied under non SDS then it's too early for webform. It might take up to 3 months. Mine for instance has been 3 months and 2 weeks. I submitted a webform exactly a month ago and no reply as at now. Wait patiently.

Processing is 11 weeks but may change weekly. If you have not got any response from IRCC by mid December then raise a webform. There is not much you can do. IRCC states that most are processed within the times posted. Sometimes background checks can take many months especially if you are a citizen of one country and live in another. This means that IRCC must do checks in multiple countries.

Oh ok
So can I expect my results within like next week or by mid November??

I applied on 19 September and medical and biometric updated on 29 September and eligibility and background check started on the same day.
So calculate 11 weeks from September 19. Once past processing time then raise a webform. No sense sending webforms to bog down your file and you have no reason to if still within processing times.

Yeah, you correct
I guess they'll do it before the January intake starts.
Could you share your timeline as well??

IRCC doesn’t have to process by January. If you don’t have a response from IRCC in December then you will need to decide about deferring studies. I am not a student but familiar with the process. Used to sit on graduate admissions committee for Masters programs.

We submitted on Sept 19th as well and at the time of submission it was 9 weeks of processing but since then it has gone up, unfortunately... Last update we got was about 3 weeks ago which was upfront medical passed...

You can see all our timeline details in my signature. I'm helping my friend from Russia apply for the Jan 2024 intake. But at this rate, we may have to request a deferral if we don't get a response by mid-December.

Oh ok
But you see every person case defers.
One of my friend applied for the visa it came in just 22 days whereby her sister took almost 3 month.
They also both applied under non sds category.
