Thanks for the prompt response, @Miss bee , much appreciated.Based on what you’ve described, the appearance of COPR (Confirmation of Permanent Residence) numbers in your PR tracker—along with an expiry date—generally means that your application has reached a very advanced stage, and IRCC has already assigned you and your family your unique document numbers in preparation for issuing your COPRs. This is typically done once most of the checks, including background verification, are essentially complete. However, your GC Key still shows “eligibility: reviewing” and “final decision: in progress” because IRCC’s internal systems don’t always update all portals in sync, and they often finalize internal steps before updating the public-facing status. In short, the presence of COPR numbers is a strong positive sign that your application has likely passed major requirements and is in the finalization queue, but until the “final decision” changes to approved and you receive your portal (P1) email, the process isn’t officially complete. The mismatch between the PR tracker and GC Key statuses is common and usually just reflects a lag in updates rather than a problem.
A follow-up question if you don't mind. Given the P1 is on the horizon, do you recommend I apply for BOWP considering my WP is good until Nov 30, 2025?
