Hello Guys. I hope you are doing well.

My spouse and I applied for the Nova Scotia Provincial Nominee Program (NSPNP) in May 2024 and received our case number in July. However, we have not received any updates since then.

Recently, my wife, who is the primary applicant, transitioned to a different client within the same company. Previously, her role was classified under TEER 4, but her new position falls under TEER 2, making it eligible under the Nova Scotia Skilled Nominee Program. To reflect this change, we updated our documents on March 17, 2025. As a result, our date of submission changed from May 25, 2024, to March 17, 2025.

Could you please confirm whether this update will impact our processing time? Specifically, will our application be treated as a new submission, potentially affecting our ranking in the pool, or will it continue to be processed based on the original submission date?

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

I applied for PR through a non EE PNP (OINP-PhD graduate stream) on July 26 2024. I received my PAL letter few days ago. I didn't receive a request for medical yet. Is that a good sign that the application is moving on? Any idea about what should I expect in terms of timelines? Would appreciate your input @Miss bee about this?

Since your PR tracker shows all sections as complete, but you haven’t received the Portal 1 email, it’s likely that your application is in the final review or queue for approval. Here are a few possible reasons for the delay:
Final Officer Review – Even if all steps are marked as complete, an officer still needs to do a final review before sending the Portal 1 request. This can sometimes take weeks.
Batch Processing – IRCC may be processing approvals in batches, and your file could be in a queue waiting for the next round

Security Screening Completion – If security assessment was the last step marked as “Completed,” there might be an internal delay in transitioning your file to the final approval stage.

Administrative Delays – Sometimes, applications remain in the system even after completion due to internal processing delays or system updates.

Since everything is complete, you’re in the final stretch. If you don’t receive Portal 1 within a few weeks, you could raise a webform to confirm the status.
thanks @Miss bee

Appreciate your input. I am in exact same situation.

For the August applicants / Feb AORs, has anyone gotten their medical exam instructions yet?

It's been dead silent for me after doing my biometrics. Was wondering if anyone else is in the same boat.

Exactly the same situation for me. I assume by next month or the one after we should receive them, based on how July applicants received theirs. I was actually also wondering about the cost for the medical exam, and if there is any way to do it free of charge (insurance or anything else).

@Miss bee i need your input please.

today Me and my spouse received Portal 1 emails. She is a dependent on my application, but we both got Portal 1 emails sent to our individual email ids.
Should we both respond seperately ? or i can respond with mine as I am the primary applicant.

Hi @Miss bee I’m missing an information about one of my siblings as we lost contact a few years back due to personal reasons. There was no way I can confirm is the address is still the same as to what I put when I applied for work permit before coming here. I placed unknown in IMM5406. I’m thinking if it would be better to add a letter of explanation via webform. Do you think that’s okay or should I wait for them to ask about it? I already got my AOR.

There are two parts, or lets break down to three parts for MED. One fee is for the panel doctor checking your basic info and test results. I paid $250; no insurance covered. X-RAY goes around $40—my insurance didn't cover it. I paid around 90$ for my blood test, and my insurance covered this part. All clinic costs vary slightly in different provinces. Might worth checking your insurance terms.

That means they have done your security checks and your results are forwarded to officer working on your application. He will soon update your application with security passed stage .
Guys I got GCMS from CBSA and everything passed instead of security. The last update from officer for security is: security decision referred to cleared officer. ADDITIONAL NOTES: FILE CHARGED TO PNP-OVERDUE MEDS.

Can anybody help me with this? What this means?
hello' i know it was 2 years ago, but can you please tell me what happened after you got this update in CBSA notes? I got mine recently and it hase the same message about security decision referred to the cleared officer, but additional note says File referred to: PNP meds not started. what does it mean? how soon did you get your case processed after this message? TIA

I have the same issue. I reported a technical problem, but they gave me generic answers.
I tried linking on March 20 when I got my AOR.
Please keep me updated.
Thanks

I have submitted my application on 8th April and from September it is in Background and eligibility check . There were two ghost updates on 14 & 18 march. I hope it is a good thing. Is anybody in same boat ?
