I am currently on closed work permit,

My PR application is under process. I have received PAL and Medical request.
I did my medical on March 15, 2025. Anybody have any idea how long it will take to get PR done at this point?

I want to switch job, but because of work permit restrictions, I can't. So at what point I will be able to switch my job?

Thanks in advance if you're answering.
@prashant55 : With the current processing timeline change to 21 months there is no sure-shot way to determine when you will get the PR. Quite a few people are in the final stage while some people like you and me are still waiting to hear from IRCC. So have patience. I received AOR 23rd Dec, medical and BIL cleared on 12th Mar 2025 post that no news.

How many times will the processing time for the non-express PNP change? Since I applied in March 2024, it has changed 3 times. It is a drama. I have been separated from my family for 3 years and the deadline is only increasing, causing a feeling that IRCC does not care about families.

Your situation is not uncommon, especially for non-Express Entry streams like the OINP. Here’s a breakdown of what could be happening and what steps you can take:
1. Incomplete IMM5604 Form Submission: Since IRCC requested an updated IMM5604 form and you submitted it in November, this could have caused some processing delay. When additional documentation is requested, the application often goes back into the queue for reassessment.

2. Background and Security Checks: Your GCMS notes indicate that eligibility is under review and security is complete. The review process can sometimes take longer for certain applicants, especially if there are prior refusals or flagpoling incidents, as in your case.

3. Pre-Arrival Letter (PAL) and P1 Status: Since you’re applying from within Canada, you’re correct that you will receive the PAL first, followed by P1. The PAL is often issued once eligibility is passed, but if there’s a review required, that could be causing the delay.

4. Processing Times Variability: While other applicants who applied later may have received decisions, timelines can vary due to factors like the complexity of the case, the workload at the processing office (Etobicoke, in your case), and security screening.
@Miss bee I did never engage myself in past visa refusals or engaged in flagpoling (leaving and re-entering Canada at a land border to process an immigration application)

sharing the google sheet of one of the OCT/NOV NON PNP group on whatsapp, the group link is on whatsapp.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NgJNUecl2tPrL12vbHC_nnWFeKTlKcU9D9OICf8GN1U/edit?usp=sharing

Is anybody here who applied in nov 2024 under pnp non express entry stream and still not received AOR. Or if you did received AOR, how much time it took after application submission

I believe people that applied in early October are starting to get AOR.

Hello just a quick question.

Do we need our nomination certificate valid when we apply for BOWP? My PGWP will expire next year (June 2026), and I have submitted my Non-EE PR application already (December 2024). The expiration of my nomination certificate (May 2025) will be around the same that I will receive my AOR (given the waiting times today). I'm just curious because by the time I need to apply for BOWP around I'm targeting Feb 2026, at least 4 months before my permit expires (if I don't get my eCOPR before my work permit expires), my nomination will be expired already. I did not get any support letter from the province along with my nomination, and I also don't have any work restrictions.

Or, should I apply for BOWP now even if my PGWP expires next year?

Please advise. thanks

If you are applying for BOWP , you only need copy of AOR however if you are apply on for closed work permit, you can use expired nomination certificate but you need valid WPSL less than 6 months old .
