At the exact same timeline (Non-EE via MPNP), I received the GCMS notes this month.
  • Eligibility: In progress
  • Criminality: In progress
  • Security: Not started
First of all - I'm really sorry that we are in the same boat.

We have many friends from our province who applied much later than us and got PR in 5-6 months.
And there are also friends who are stuck on Security check.

But people like us - already a year and Security not started - I don't know.

Well, now I do :(

Yes, this is the main problem, and another major concern is that the contract will expire soon. Most people are on closed work permits and PNP nominations with restrictions, making them ineligible for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) or an open work permit.

It says restricted to Ontario employer on my nomination certificate to the current employer. The stream is Employer Job offer - Foreign workers.

Does this mean I cannot apply for BOWP and have to be on closed work permit until I get PR?
No your nomination is restricted so only option would be closed work permit through employer. You are not eligible for BOWP.

I submitted my application on June 7th, but I still haven't received the Acknowledgment of Receipt (AoR) from IRCC. My Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) certificate expired on August 11th. I'm concerned about whether this will cause any issues with my application. Should I be worried, and do I need to request an extension or take any other steps to ensure my application remains valid?
Your nomination certificate should be valid at the time when you submit your application. If it expires next day or next month doesn’t matter. Your application gets locked into system when you submit yours application. Don’t worry about it .

Hello everyone!

Based on my Schedule A background declaration form IMM5669 where I had mentioned my distant learning education from the UK, IRCC keeps asking me for the UK police clearance certificate. When I requested this certificate from UK ACRO services they told me they cannot issue me a certificate as I never lived in the UK. Please let me know in this case what should I do. Should I tell IRCC that I cannot get a police certificate because I never lived there or should I resubmit my Schedule A background declaration form (IMM5669) where I mention the UK university but show my location as Dubai?

Please advise

Thank you.

Regards,
Muhammad
You should write a detailed explanation letter mentioning all these points and also attach copies of all pages of your passport showing that you never visited there . Best option is this to address visa officer’s concern.

Oh
Unfortunately, I know about this problem - my husband has a closed work permit which expires in December 2024.
So if we don't get a PR in the next few months, we will have to pay for a closed work permit for my husband, an open permit for me, and a study permit for our daughter.

I applied for PR under the OINP Foreign Worker Stream (Non-EE) on June 4th. There has been no news yet. Are they still processing applications from April and May?

Hello @Miss bee thanks for your help during our processes, you give us a bit of certainty during these anxious times.
Regarding the current changes that IRCC is trying to develop to improve the Canadian economy, do you think all of our processes will be impacted? Should we expect even more delays with the processing times? Is this something that we should start to worry about?

I applied for PR under the OINP Foreign Worker Stream (Non-EE) on June 6th. I haven't received my AOR yet, should I expect any good news during September?

Thanks again!

Could you let me know where you applied application?
where you mention additional notes.
I applied online. I couldnt find the "additional notes" so I just entered the address of the hotel where I stayed when I visited the UK. I dont know what to do in case you have never been to the UK.
