@Miss bee, My work permit is expiring next month and submitted my application in November 2023. Medical passed in March and PAL received in April 2024. Still waiting for next step. Any idea when I should expect Portal 1? I submitted under Non-Express PNP Program. Also can I apply for visitor visa to maintain my status in Canada?

Why you want to apply for visitor status. Do you have employer restrictions on your nomination certificate? If no you can apply for BOWP.

@Miss bee

1. Date and place of your last entry to Canada

I had a connecting flight from Montréal to Toronto. Should I write in the place: Montréal International Airport or Toronto Airport?

2. Personal history: Provide the details of your personal history for the past 10 years, or since your 18th birthday if it was less than 10 years ago. Start with the most recent information.

Should I give personal history from January 2014 to July 6, 2024, or July 2014 to July 6, 2024?

3. Travel history: List all trips you have taken outside of your country of origin or of residence in the last 10 years (or since your 18th birthday if this was less than 10 years ago)

Do I need to include a transit trips? Trips to my home county for vacation?

4. Address: List all addresses where you have lived in the past 10 years or since your 18th birthday if it was less than 10 years ago

I have been in Canada since 2013, but I also go to my home country for vacation each year. Do I need to include my home address in my home country?

Any trip outside your home country or Canada you took . You don’t need to show anything if it was inside country.

Has anyone here going through this situation,

I'm OINP FWS job-restricted applicant.
PR Submitted - Nov 4
AOR - Feb 6
Biometrics completed - Feb 10

Work Permit extension Got refused for not submitting Employer compliance fee - March 15

Informed IRCC via webform - March 22
Applied for 'restoration of status" Using the Approved LMIA that I already had within 90 of wp expiry - March 21

Medical Passed - May 1

Background check - IN PROGRESS (Since Feb)
Eligibity - not started

been 90 days, restoration of status is still in progress when i call ircc they said BG check is in progress, nothing else started even after 90 days.
My PR is still BG check in progress, agent said INFO SHARING COMPLETED, nothing else started. Eligibility not started as well.

Anyone who had gone through a similar scenario ? i saw people mentioning to let OINP know about the situation, my lawyer suggested that i do not need to let OINP know
about this situation, but i did let IRCC know about the situation. This was because i already have an LMIA so i didn't need the oinp support letter again.

Regarding the PR, people who applied around my time has already got Portal 1 and COPR, I understand each application is different but just getting an idea of how long I will have to stay without being able to work. any similar applicants here? Any suggestion is appreciated, Thank you
I am in the same situation, I applied on 2nd Sep 2023 and still BG check in progress do not worry it takes time , just wait

That means your application has been approved. You will get Portal 1 email soon and then after sending them required information, you will get portal 2 email and then COPR .
Actually, I just logged in to the tracker, and there it now shows that I have COPR - does that mean I was approved?
It says:
"Confirmation of Permanent Residency (COPR) details
When you’re approved for permanent residence in Canada, you'll get a Confirmation of Permanent Residence document. Below are details about this document."

And the it gives me details of the document, such as document number, expiry date, etc., which I didn't have before today (it would say "not available yet" or something like that)
In the tracker have you saw the background and Eligibility changed from blue to green?

It’s just general reminder message however you have cleared your eligibility stage. If your background check is already completed you can get portal 1 or final decision soon.

@Miss bee
First step is go ahead and link your application to Gckey account. You can go ahead and do biometrics . It has nothing to do with ADR . For documents you can submit through GCKEY . There should be box provided where you should upload and transmit the documents. Alternative you can send it through webform. That webform is not updated yet.

@Miss bee Could you please advise what to do in this case?
I called to IRCC agents few times and the application is still under security check.
Few weeks ago medical examination changed from passed to blank (examination have been expired)
Is there any possibility to expedite? My application in progress more than 19 months.
