Hi all,

I got my PNP nomination certificate and WP extension letter from the province today. My work permit expires on this June. (after two months)

I was wondering if I need to apply for work permit extension first and then for my PR or the other way around? Please advice which method is the best.

Please note that I have a Post Graduate Work Permit currently.

You can do either way. You can’t apply for BOWP as you don’t have AOR. You should apply for closed work permit with help of your employer.

I applied in October. Tracker is showing Background Check in progress for more than 2 months already. VO Etobicoke. Does anyone know how long can it take? Did anyone get their PR approved from this VO recently?

The duration of the background check process is unpredictable. I've been undergoing this check for approximately five months now.

Noting for me, I call them last Friday, since it was week and half from due date for respond about background check , off course nothing.
Lady over the phone just said I'm so sorry but they dint respond. I don't know what to do, should I write a email to MP?

I had several trips within Schengen Area which I didn’t mention in my recent Work Permit applications (no stamps in passport). I am planing to mention them in my PR application . Yes . You are supposed to declare everything in your all visas applications . You should declare them in your PR application and write letter of explanation. Hiding information from IRCC is misrepresentation. They share data with all other countries and they will find it if you don’t declare.

I got NOI from OINP( ISS ), I applied to IRCC using the Non- EE PR portalhttps://prson-srpel.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login on 24 August 2023. I am yet to receive AOR for my application. My PGWP expires in September2024. I am not sure how to deal with this situation? If I do not receive my AOR before September2024 how should I applyfor extension of WP?

I have sent multiple Webforms but never got a response I was looking for. I tried calling but they said you will get your AOR before that. NO idea and I am getting worried about this process.

Im in a bit of a fix. my first ITA application got canceled because of incomplete document. Unfortunately, Alberta can't transfer nomination to another express entry profile as it is tied to one particular profile, so now I'm about to re-apply using the Non-EE portal before my certificate expires in June 2024.
The message I received from IRCC specifically said "Since your application is rejected, you are no longer a candidate for Express Entry and your Express Entry profile number is no longer valid"
Does this mean I would not be able to use Non-EE portal as well?
should I go on to submit the application i already started on the Non-EE portal?
I have messaged IRCC and AAIP regarding my query, but still no response as at today 25/04/2024.
Im runing out of time and options
