December 20: Background check completed and COPR# also appeared. (Final decision under progress in GC key).
I applied for Non PNP in September 2022. Currently,
security and criminality have been passed, but only Eligibility has not started. Is there a case like this? I spoke directly to IRCC, but they told me to wait. I am tired of waiting and worried.

Today, my profile status shows 'Application/profile Updated.' My background check has changed from 'Not Applicable' to 'In Progress' for the second time. Any idea what this means?
Hi. It depends on when your security check will be started + processing time.
There are two types of security checks: record security check or comprehensive security check. So, the first one is faster, may take up to a 1-2 months, but the second one is way longer and may take up to years. No one knows what kind of security check you will have except ircc, cbsa etc. Just order gcms/cbsa notes from time to time to monitor your progress.
I already ordered 3 gcms notes but all says security not started but everything else is complete my pvo and svo offices are sydney and ottawa.
Maybe better to call IRCC and ask for what reason the security check has not started. I’m not sure whether the agents can answer it or not, but give it a try
Btw, do your notes contain the statement “not started” in the security check section?
My case is a little similar to yours, I have all my checks passed except security. But security in my notes is just blank. And I don’t know what does it mean
I already called them so many times some say it will start pretty soon, some say they don’t know about this part, some say processing time is 14 months i m still under that time. Because it’s kinda frustrating at some point folks who applied after me most of them already got portals and ecoprs. I had pretty old medical which they passed plus my biometric was also old so i m thinking that’s also a reason because people with new medical and bio are getting portals after weeks after PAL.
Its says not started for me in all notes. If it is blank it means security is in process.
