Hi @Miss bee, question on the travel/supplementary information , since lodging my NON-EE(PNP) inland application last august 2024, i have been in and out of Canada several times for leisure (Philippines, US, Japan), which also meant my most recent date of entry in canada has changed. Should i submit a webform for these updates? if yes, should i do it now or wait until i get AOR?
If you travelled outside Canada after submitting application, you don’t need to update or tell them about these trips.

@ Miss Bee, please At what stage does IRCC start assessing file, Is it immidiately after AOR or after doing biometrics. If bio is delayed since we have 30 days to do it, does that mean the application too is delayed ? Like no assessment at all until bio is done?

Processing starts right after AOR but there is no sequence on what part officer will work first.

@Miss bee how long does it take to review eligibility, please? Tracker says background check is completed for both primary and dependent applicants but in the GIC website both background and eligibility are in progress.

@Miss bee how long does it take to review eligibility, please? Tracker says background check is completed for both primary and dependent applicants but in the GIC website both background and eligibility are in progress.
The time it takes to review eligibility varies depending on the complexity of the application and the workload of the assigned visa office. Typically, eligibility review can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months after medicals are passed and biometrics are completed. Straightforward cases, where all documents and information are clear, tend to move faster. However, if IRCC needs to verify additional details, such as employment history, the authenticity of a job offer, or proof of funds, the process may take longer. In your case, the PR Tracker indicating that the background check is complete suggests that IRCC has already cleared that stage, which often overlaps with or precedes eligibility review. The conflicting information between the PR Tracker and the GCKey portal is not uncommon, as the PR Tracker tends to be more current, reflecting updates from IRCC’s internal system, whereas the GCKey portal sometimes lags or shows “In Progress” until all stages are finalized. Once eligibility is concluded, the application typically proceeds to final security checks (if not already completed) and then moves towards a final decision. If you find the delay concerning or need clarification, submitting a webform inquiry or contacting IRCC directly can provide reassurance, though patience is often required during this phase.

Good Afternoon @Miss bee ,

I just got a refusal letter on my 2years work permit and my PNP nomination already expired 01-Dec-2024. Below are the content of the letter:

We also wish to advise you that your temporary resident status expired on December 11, 2024. You may apply for restoration if, within 90 days from the expiry of your temporary resident status, you submit: • a completed application form; • applicable fees for restoration and for the immigration document(s). Payments should be made online at www.cic.gc.ca. When you are finished, you must print the receipt of payment and include it with your application. • all required documents in support of your application.

Please assist me with the following:
What are the necessary step I need to follow please.
The PGWP is supposed to expire by 08-Jan-2025 but it mentioned here expires 11-Dec-2024.
Will this impact my PR application, I just got AOR last month and not update on medical till date.
Also, do I have to stop work immediately?
Do I need to contact OINP to renew my nomination?

Thank you very much

Looks like they refused your application in error. Try to call them and ask what’s going on . Also submit reconsideration request.

Thank you @miss bee> I will give them a now if not close otherwise tomorrow and I will give a feedback.
Hello @Miss bee . I have the IRCC now and the person mentioned the following:

- According to LMIA exempt letter, the person must Educational degree related to the work. The applicant does not provide any educational degree related to this job.

I have a bachelor degree in Computer Science outside Canada and Diploma in Project Management here in Canada but I have been in working in construction industry for almost 10years and this is why I have chosen the NOC related to Construction and got approved. I am not sure if I submitted my bachelor degree or not, however it's not fully related to my work experience in Construction and I didn't see that LMIA exempt letter state this condition.

Kindly advise.
@Miss bee
May I also add that, I work as Project Control Analyst and the most aligned roles is under Construction Manager NOC. As a Project Control Analyst, my degree in Computer Science helped me navigate as the job rely mostly (70%) on software usage and others are coordination, Planning, Scheduling and managing people.
Can I raise a webform and submit this as an explanation or what is your advise please? I explained this when I submitted my OINP application and got approval but did not for work extension.

Thank you for your continuous support.

Update:

While I checked my imm57710e form I found out that I did not listed my Bachelor Degree with the aim that Diploma in Project Management obtained in Canada will be sufficient. I have raised a webform with letter of reconsideration/explanation and attached my degree certificates with WES and received automated receipt.
In the event I didn't receive response from them before the expiration of current work permit by January what should be my next course of action please?
Should I stop working? Should I reapply?
My current nomination certificate already expired.

Hi @Miss bee WE applied TRV while waiting for our PR result, can we use DHL instead of Canada Post since there's a strike going on? Does anybody has an experience sending passport using a different courier?
