Hello Members,

I have unique situation I got ITA in March 4 draw (471). I have CRS score 482 with not accompanying spouse and with accompanying 467(which I am not doing right now).
I have left 3 month My PGWP. I have all required document from all places. Still to increase my CRS score We decided I am going to apply single.
Me and my wife both get medical and PCC. My spouse has open work permit too. I have 3 question for experts here.

1) Do I need Letter of explanation for my non accompanying wife? (I have stated in reason as follows "I was not scoring enough points in my current express entry profile with my
spouse accompany with me, thus I have decided not to include my spouse in this application. This is truly respecting the laws under IRPA")

2) How to extend my wife's work permit or legal immigration status, as I will be eligible to apply for Bridge work permit (implied status).

3) As I am applying in EE, How much fund I need to show as document section shows show your funds?

Can anyone please guide me for this.

Thank you

Are you a CEC candidate? If yes, CEC candidates are not required to provide proof of funds.

I don't have the answers to your questions but being that the recent CEC only scores have been significantly lower than the score with your wife included as accompanying spouse, why would you not decline your previous ITA and go back in the pool to be selected at a lower score?

Yes I am CEC candidate. However in my document submission list its showing "Proof of means of financial support"

As I stated I have work permit left until Aug 2nd 2020. If I decline now it will not allow me to get back in pool until 60 days. So after 60 days my work permit will expire and I will not be able to live in canada. I am aware I have 90 days after to fight with my stay status change.
Also, PGWP can not be extended. So that's why I decided before march first week draw that I am going to apply not accompaying.
Also,It was just after I turn my file into non accompanying very next draw gets to 467. Hard LUCK

Don’t think you pr wife will qualify for a WP after hers expires. She will have to switch to visitor status if she wants to stay.

Most people dont give updates after they have their outcomes unfortunately. They only come to ask for help but dont wanna help others afterwards.

For me, its different situation now as points drop down due to border restriction in the last path month, I take a chance and withdraw my exciting invitation and after that applied with my wife. I get an invitation in the very next draw as points were still low. If you are ready to take that chance you can go ahead.
although, as the current situation is going wouldn't recommend going that way as now points are higher due to easing in border restriction.
let me know if need more help I can answer best I can.

Also, explain the proper reason as IRCC is 50-50 in this situation. IRCC may call you for a non-accompanying spouse. you can apply as like that although need a proper letter of explanation that why you are not accompanying. low express entry points can not be the reason as I understand.

Finally, I received the COPR last week, and waiting to receive my PR card. Like many other applicants I was worried about my application (Express entry-CEC, July 2020) with non-accompanying spouse who lives with me in Canada. Initially I thought I would tell them low CRS score is the main reason for my non-accompanying spouse application. At the time of application, I made a LOE saying that my spouse is not interested to become PR during this COVID situation. I showed this as the main reason why I am applying with non-accompanying spouse.

It is NOT mandatory for your spouse to apply for PR with you. It's your spouse choice, and that's how you should convince VO. Remember, even though your spouse is not accompanying, you both must submit police clearance certificates, biometrics and medicals.

Currently, I am working on my spousal sponsorship PR, and I don't know how long it's gonna take.

Good luck guys.

Congratz and thanks for the update, mate. I ended up going through the same path as you and applied for my PR stating my spouse as non-accompanying at the end of August. So far no issues and I'm hoping to get my COPR during April.
