Job Offer........

go here and see detail of duties ,

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0213

If you performed duties as listed above, not all but maybe some of, then you can apply FSW-1 under NOC-0213. good luck

if you apply for category 2 or 3 (for which you must have lived in canada or studied in canada for a year or have an arranged employment), then 2174 is okay.

For FSW category 1, there is couple of requirements. One is that you must hve 67 points, 2174 can help you increase your points in the work experience section. BUT you also need to fulfil the ministerial criteria, which is that you must have equivalent of one year full time work in a job from a list. 2174 is not on the list.

Hi Rupesh,

I am little bit confused on this NOC codes. (0213 Computer and Information Systems Managers) i feel education and experience matches with it. but job title is not matching.
my job title is in NOC code 2174.

I am confused and not sure whether to use 0213 or not. if i can't use 0213 then i cannot apply FSW. and i don't have any other option.
I have been working in usa for the past 3 and 1/2 years on software but it became useless for AINP becuase i have only EAD (employment authorization ducument) but not H1B anymore.

I have 69 points FSW.

I checked my total score i got toal of 69 point

1 Education ------------------> 22 ( i have bachelor degree in computer science engineering)
2 Language Ability ------------> 16
3 Work Experience --------> 21 ( i have total 6 and 1/2 years of Experience,3 in INDIA and 3+ in USA)
4 Age -----------> 10
5 Arranged Employment -------> 0
6 Adaptability ----------------->0
_________
Total Score ----------------- >69

Since you you already applied FSW. i need your advise. i need to make it work for FSW.
if you don't mind can we discuss on our personal email.
let me know if you wnt me to email you or u can email me.

A bachelor degree is only worth 20 points. You got 16 points from IELTs?

Hi PMM.

thanks fo ryour esponse.

I think my understanding was wrong.
I have total 16 years of education with Bachelor degree in computer science engineering.
so i get only 20 points?

I don't have IELTS score yet, but If i give IELTS i must get 16 points to hit 67. so i don't have any other option that is the reason i kept 16 points for langue.

Please advise.

Hi Rupesh,

my job title is in NOC code 2174.
if your experience matches 0213 (i think education might not be very different for 0213 and 2174) and you have been a manager (of people i think, not just systems....but make sure of that), you can apply under 2174. Titles are given by companies and may differ from one company to another. Like in the US, an entry level teacher in a university is generally an associate professor but in other countries, it might be lecturer. CIC knows that title can vary, so its important to have duties. At least that is my opinion....i am not an expert.

My NOC by title is not found on the list but my experience comes under a NOC found on the list and i applied using that and Sydney okayed it.

As for my email address, i have too many request with my email so it would be unfair to give one person and not another. Also i am really not an expert, so its best to ask your question in the forum and everyone can answer and if someone gets it wrong, someone else will correct it and you can decide what is the best answer. Also your questions would be beneficial for future applicants. I don't log into this forum much anymore but i am sure you'd be fine. Good luck.
