NOC Dilemma- Experts Plz Help

I’m totally confused in determining the possible NOC based on the following job responsibilities & responsibilities: I have sent an e-mail to GD2@hrsdc-rhdcc.gc.ca and the answer is based on the information that you have provided, the following National Occupational Classification (NOC) code may be appropriate for the occupation that you described

NOC code 2171 – Information systems analysts and consultants:

However, my lawyer is saying it would be NOC-1215 and I already submitted my AINP application & created EE profile based on NOC 1215.Please note that I work in purchasing department not in IT department of a furniture company.

Could you guys please tell what could the possible NOC of my job?


Business Integration Associate

Job Description

Reporting to the Manager, Business Integration the successful candidate will work with multiple teams in Information Services, Inventory, Purchasing and Sales to define system and software requirements. Playing a key role in the testing and implementation of new systems and software projects, you will be responsible for ensuring that the departments' requirements are being met.

Position Overview:

•Create new inventory, purchasing and sales reports
•Diagnose and fix issues with existing reports
•Work collaboratively with Information Services and other functional support teams to identify and communicate integration plans and system/software requirements
•Conduct requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders; Communicate requirements for new software to the Information Services team and ensure that department requirements are being met

•Clarify and validate requirements throughout project life cycles
•Monitor, facilitate and participate in the deployment of integrated software and applications
•Develop test plans and test cases for integrated applications and software, ensuring effective coverage of requirements
•Participate in the creation and execution of development and implementation plans, documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
•Provide backup coverage for the Merchandising Coordinator
•Frequent involvement on special projects

Job Requirements

•Ability to effectively prioritize and meet multiple deadlines

Education & Experience Required :
•High School Diploma or equivalent required
•Post secondary education and/or previous experience in a Business Analysis or Business Management role an asset
•Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel and Access required
•Experience using Cognos and MS Query an asset
•Previous experience with retail systems is an asset
