Hi everybody.

I am wondering if I am eligible to apply for immigration under skilled worker program as "7216 Contractors and Supervisors, Mechanic Trades".

I worked at a metalwork shop; planning manufacturing, managing the CNC machine operators, checking the quality of the spare parts we produce, preparing invoices for customers and getting the company prepared for exhibitions. I did this job for 2.5 years.

And I've been working as an engineer on tanker vessels for over 1 year (2 years including my on board training), managing oilers and fitter, maintaining machinery, and ordering spare parts for defective machinery on board.

Do both jobs count for the category "7216 Contractors and Supervisors, Mechanic Trades"?

I will correct you some information to apply for FSW you need atleast one year experience in one of the 29 occupation and to claim point you work experinence come under SKILL O, A,B. read this

Note: Remember that you must have work experience in an occupation in Skill type 0 or Skill level A or B and that your experience must have occurred during the 10 years before the date of application.

Dear your consultant is not right, you ought to have min one year exp (in the past 10 years) in one of the professions described under the ministerial instructions.Now in order to claim full 21 marks under experience category, you should have more than 4 yrs of experience (in the past 10 yrs) of the intended profession that should be withinh 29 mandatory professions.Thus in my opinion you will get 17 points against 2 1/2 yrs experience that you posess.Hope it helps

Wellcome to NOC 7216 group. You sould expect PER within 50 - 60 days after your application is received at CIO. Have to be patient for another month min.Best of luck.

In order to claim points under certain NOC, it is MUST that you should have performed min 60 - 70 % of the job responsibilities written under that NOC. Having performed only one job responsibility out of the listed responsibilities would not help you in satisfying the VO and its highly likely that your app will be turned down.

I am also NOC 7216 applicant for Singapore Visa Office. And we are in the same time line!!!

We applied on 6th December, ECAS shows RBVO since 24th March till today, more than 7 months! Sent enquiry to SGVO and no reply. Waiting, waiting, waiting..............

We sent general query regarding our application status progress and we got no reply at all, seems VOs will not answer to this kind of questions, guess all we can do is keep our fingers crossed and waiting.

Keep posted of your progress as well, I tried to send you PM few days back but guess your PM function is not there yet (you need to publish 10 posts for getting this function).

While, we have sent our enquiry for around two weeks and still no reply, I guess there will not be any reply. This NOC seems to be forgotten by SGVO. Did you try to get GCMS report?

Dear sender,
You have to search your E-cas by your Application number, Like E0000---------.(9 digit), First you have to select in the position identification number ( immigration and application file number), then application E0000-------. then your Last name, then Date of Birth, and then Select your country. In this way you will search your e-cas. Thanks
