Great, that's good news. Than this might be your best bet, or try your provincial PNP program maybe?

employer doesn't support PNP .. checked with him
So only bet is FSW
Hopefully

Only if you have an approved LMO for permanent residence from HRSDC, could apply under 6211. Not an approved LMO for TWP.

A question - If a person is currently on an open work permit and has more than 2 years experience in Canada in a NOC code (6211) not listed under 16 eligible NOCs, Does he/she needs to get a positive LMO first before applying under FSW ?
Please advice

hi PMM,

can you clarify what do you mean by approved LMO for permanent residence and not for temporary work permit?
as far as i know if a person working in canada under a work permit issued based on LMO skilled position noc 0-A-B and his employer offer him a permanent full time job(arranged employment) then he/she can apply under FSW.
i am just curious to know please and thank you :)

I understand the same thing - the LMO would be required if the worker were not already working in Canada -

Hi PMM, so this LMO can not be used to apply for TWP in terms of any of the closed 6 occupations?

PMM was discussing the Federal Skilled Workers program, Arranged employment stream, NOT CEC. Only the CEC program has closed to those 6 NOCs...

Hi PMM

What does it mean? Does it apply only if you're outside Canada? I currently have a valid work permit with NOC 6212 Food Service Supervisor, is it eligible to apply for FSW since CEC doesn't allow it anymore?

Many thanks.

hi lotus_abbey,

if your employer can offer an arranged employment(permanent full time job offer) and you meet the program criteria the yes you can apply.

Hi

I'm not referring to the The AINP Employer-Driven Stream because my employer doesn't support it. I'm referring to the FSW Class.
