I am there like you, mine was also started in March i.e. on 12 March 2012, however I do not expect speedy process cos my visa office is London, the slowest visa office and if yours is NDVO then expect MR and PPR very soon, NDVO is called SUPER FAST these days: Good luck my friend

have received the credential results yesterday, which shows I have deficiencys in following parts,

Neuromuscular systems (assessment/ physiotherapy diagnosis/evaluation)

cardiorespiratory systems(assessment/ physiotherapy diagnosis/evaluation)

This is because of the brief syllabus mentioned... My college refused to send the detailed course transcriptions...

they asked me to do the PLAR for the above...

Could any one explain me about the PLAR in above... Do I have to do the course and attend the exam... or just to present a notarised affadavit like '' context of physiotherapy practice in canada'' to prove that I read and understand the topic.

Has anybody done it before....

I am assuming this is your first evaluation result. In that case, you have 2 options at this stage:

i) You may chose to request the Alliance to do a supplementary review if you believe you covered these areas during your studies. For this you will need your college to provide written clarifications in relation to the identified areas. They (your school) do not have to amend or re-write your course description. They only have to provide a clarification and/or further details on each identified areas in the form of an appendix to the original course description. This is what I did in my case and it was accepted my the Alliance.

ii) If you however agree with the outcome of the current evaluation as it is, the Alliance will provide you with the available options for you to complete the applicable modules (institutions, online courses, contact details etc). They will however not provide you with this until you have applied for PLAR.

If you can, I'll advise you explore the first option as it will save you time energy and money. I am not sure where you are currently based, but sometime, it could be difficult to take the available options for some modules if you are not currently in Canada.

i dont think its the best from my experience because it will prolong the process. What is the guarantee the person has sufficient information strong enough to convince them otherwise? Its best he tells us what the other options are

Is this fatex senior (Y...a) or junior (O....e)? (Small world huh? ). You can send me reply by PM.

Well that's why I said it's up to ajis to decide if he was convinced he took the modules in question. If he was, then I can guarantee you, given a detailed clarification from ajis' school, it wouldn't take as long as going the PLAR route. I had about 8 modules to clarify in my case due to minimal information on the original course descriptions. These were all addressed by my school and I got the final clearance from the Alliance within 4 weeks of submitting the clarification. Also to clarify, ajis will not know which options are available to him to fullfill the missing module until he has applied for PLAR. Alliance will only give you the list of the PLAR options after you have sent in the PLAR application form and pay the fee. I know each individual case is different and the final call rests with ajis.

My college is ready to sent a detailed description of the syllabus. I have requested the alliance to accept the additional documents from the college. Not sure whether they accept it or not as they havent given me the option to sent the additional documentss this time. wait and see..
anybody done the PLAR before??? Do I have to write the exam or a notarissed statement would be enough to state that I read and undestood ( like context of physitherapy in canada)
