Thanks for the reply.

Actually my main concern is as 3111 and 3112 categories are for spacial occupation but MBBS doesn't get covered under speacial occupation. So shouln't they evaluate MD or DM degrees ?

Sorry confused can you or someone throw some light please ?

Dear,
Lemon_scorpio is right.
First check the start of this thread.

Then create user account on physiciansapply.ca (http://physiciansapply.ca/)
and send them an email.
Also send an email to MCC.

In any scenario, basic medical qualification evaluation is must. specially if you want to enter any clinical field.
MD or DM.

Hope it helps

For specialist degree, they will consider only the experience. However, you will not be able to work immediately as a specialist unless you get the accreditation from the Royal College.

Dear,
ECAS changes are not reliable at all.
Always depend on communication by VO.... even if delayed/late.

Best wishes.

Dear friends,

I have a question regarding the process of becoming a licenced General Practitioner in Canada.

As per my knowledge, we doctors have to go through this examination path:

1. MCCE examination
2. MCCQE part 1
3. Residency Program of 12 months
4. MCCQE part 2

What I am confused about is the National Evaluation Collaboration exam which apparently has to be done right after MCCE exam.
Is this right? Do we have to sit this exam and then continue with the MCCQE part 1 exam?

Are there any changes done recently?? I will sit the MCCE exam in one month but I need to clarify this step too.

Please help

For practising as a doctor in Canada you will have to clear Medical Council of Canada (MCC) exams and residency requirements. She could also get into teaching there which might not require a licensing exam or the option of Songraphers / Radiologists is also available. Sonographers need to do some sort of a course(I dont know which course that is) and also clear ARDMS exams to be licensed, but its easier and quicker than the MCC exams and residency. As for ECA if you plan to do clinical practice then MCC will have to do the ECA, otherwise for teaching jobs the ECA can be done by other services likes WES etc. However I suggest you contact CIC, MCC and WES about the above point before applying for an ECA for your wife's medical degree. Hope this helps :) Best of luck.

Dear Hasan Bhai,
Sorry for late reply and many thanks for your advises.
Meanwhile, my wife also communicated with some of her friends/known persons about this. We think from Canada, it will be difficult to contact Dhaka University, to make them reply to MCC's queries. So, we plan to get ECA done by MCC.
Also, it will keep wider job options in Canada.

Regards,
Mahbub

Dear Experts,

We need some clarification. My wife has the following diploma/training:

1) MBBS degree (5 years, in Bangladesh)
2) Medical School transcript (i.e, mark sheets of MBBS degree)
3) Internship 1 year
4) MD (part 1) completed in Clinical Hematology
5) Post graduate training in Internal Medicine - 1 year
6) Post graduate training in Clinical Hematology - 6 months
7) Post graduate training in Cardiology - 6 months
8) Registration/Licence of BMDC (Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council)

For which ones we need to do ECA, that will be helpful in Canada study/job search.

Since, this is expensive, we're a bit confuse, which ones will be really work-worthy.

Thanks & Regards,
Mahbub

Dear,
The ECA is for the basic medical qualification (MBBS).
Create an account on physiciansapply.ca and follow instructions.
You will need to fill forms from the site, photographs, attested copy of passport, attested copy of MBBS degree.
Payment of fees.

Hope it helps
