Hello Forumates! Any one whos under NOC 3216- medical sonographer? Im under NOC 3216. Just wanted to creAte a link among those also under this noc. I really need help with regards to where to land and how to start my career in this field. They say its hard to find a job under 3216 as employers require certification/registration and a canadian experience on the job. Thank u so much! Godbless us all.

Dear seniors,
I am the primary applicant and we've received medical request on 08 September (note that I'm not a doctor). So we're expecting visa on due course.
My wife is a doctor. My question is, is there any scope that she could take preparation here in Dhaka that would be helpful in her job searching or education in Canada? Should we have her ECA done? Appreciate any other advice also.

For practising as a doctor in Canada you will have to clear Medical Council of Canada (MCC) exams and residency requirements. She could also get into teaching there which might not require a licensing exam or the option of Songraphers / Radiologists is also available. Sonographers need to do some sort of a course(I dont know which course that is) and also clear ARDMS exams to be licensed, but its easier and quicker than the MCC exams and residency. As for ECA if you plan to do clinical practice then MCC will have to do the ECA, otherwise for teaching jobs the ECA can be done by other services likes WES etc. However I suggest you contact CIC, MCC and WES about the above point before applying for an ECA for your wife's medical degree. I need help for ECA. Actually I have done MBBS, MD (pediatrician and DM( neonotology). I am confused which degree I need to send to MCC for assessment.
As I think I get covered under NOC 3111 and as per that speciality occupation. But MBBS doesn't comes under speciality. So thats why having this doubt.



Can you please confirm
a) which one I need to send will it be DM or MD or MBBS ?

b) Do I need to send a photcopy or original for assessment ?
c) If photocopy does it needs to be notaraised ?

Actually my main concern is as 3111 and 3112 categories are for spacial occupation but MBBS doesn't get covered under speacial occupation. So shouln't they evaluate MD or DM degrees ?

Sorry confused can you or someone throw some light please ?
