NOC 2281 for FSWP in 2014, Let's network here

I called up CIC few minutes ago. Following is a brief of my conversation with the call center agent.

1) He confirmed that they had received my file on the 1st of Dec 2014.
2) He told me that my file is under review and advised me to wait a while to receive some form of communication from CIC by 1st week of march 2015.
3) CAP status of 2281 As of now sydney is acepting applications, so cap might not be filled.

A truly positive news. I have a question that does "my file is under reveiw" mean it has been in the system or before entering the system?. Any clear answer for the question? Anyway, I think it is really something we can keep on praying, thank you for sharing.

After giving my details, he said we found a file on your name on our system please wait and then he said the above said words. my file is under review. you will receive the update about application from cic by the 1st week of march.

I don't want to discourage you but I dont think he gave you the right info because they cannot tell if its under "review" or not.I called them yesterday and lady picked up the call and informed me that we just received your application and thats ita dn she was like we cannot tell anyone if under review or anything.the only thing you can do is wait till the mid of march.CIC IS SO UNPREDICTABLE TRUST ME.

My application was received on 28 nov under 2281 and I am in canada friend and I have no idea whats going here.Two guys said they got rejection after their dd and cc was charged on 21 jan because 2281 is full.I am in canada and My file got rejected or returned it just takes 10 days to get it back.So I don't know but two other guys confirm they got their file rejected after they have been charged.

Its really sad but applications received after 20 NOV won't be process anymore.My application was received on 28 nov 2014.So wait to get your application package back.

Because people from Nov 20th received a mail from CIC informing that the CAP has been reached.

I don't think that is completely accurate due to the fact that on December 15th the applicant total was 750. Now in my honest opinion CIC would give any rationale to reject you despite what was written on the letter. It's either that or CIC was misleading in their applicant total. But nevertheless even if it was full, it couldn't have been Nov 20th because 750 would have had to been from that period. Another thing that I would like to mention is, yes first come first serve may be procedure but also consider if many people from one country or location apply for the same NOC group. Maybe they are capping countries so as to provide diversity within the NOCs as well. But hey just a thought. Its a sad case overall though because right now Express Entry seems to only favor persons WITH job offers. :-\

When they published the numbers they were still processing the applicants from October. Between October and Nov 20th the CAP was reached. CIC never mentioned that the applications until December 15th were in the CAP. You can also see that the same happened with other NOCs that reached the CAP.

CIC only considers the order that they received the applications to process. Country of origin or diversity is not a factor in this decision.

Hello Guys,
I am a 1st dec applicant. Called CIC the lady on the other side said that they did recv the application and she also said that the last information about my file is from 24th December and office is reviewing my application.
No other info.
And What I guess is -the applicants who say that they where charged and got their applications returned might be a case of not getting the eligibility points.
And another point I want to add is that if the cap is full there would be no confirmation email from cic, you would just get your file back through a regular mail and it doesnot matter whether you are in canada or india it would take time.
But yes as it has happened to many November candidates in hot noc like 1123 called CIC and the agent just said that the file has been returned due to Cap full.
