NOC 2171 CAP REACHED

Just saw the website. NOC 2171 is jumped to 1000 in just a week's time from 500 +.

I saw that too. Is CAP Reached refers the Application received till that date? Or the application that has been processed till that date?

I think it means "processed till date". My application reached on last week of October for 2171. I am now worried.
Is there anyone who have sent application for 2171 in October whose visa fees has been charged?

I dont think it is processed till date, its impossible to process 400+ application in a week. Last week 2171 cap was 500+.

As per the CIC website they are saying "Total received toward the overall cap: 9,242 of 25,000"

Thanks. I heard CIC have backlog of applications received, in this case what does "received till date" mean. Also, when I say processed I meant opened application and checked which NOC and whether all forms are correct. How else can they know cap limit has complete applications?

In that case, Oct Applicant should be safe, my application reached on 21Oct. It should not take a month to check the completeness...

Guys, 2173 had a sudden jump from 699 to 1000 in 3 days, and only very few got charged after the cap was announced.
2171 has gone under very low activity since last week, so please prepare for the worst but still keep hope.

So there is no way to know if our application is within cap unless application fee is charged? How do they process 500+ application in a week? Any idea?

Calm down people. It is very very unlikely that they processed 500 applications for 2171 in a week or even a month. I very strongly believe (based in the 2014 spreadsheet data) that CIC got a little smarter and decided to cap this NOC to stop people from sending in new applications after today. They either just predicted that they have received enough applications till date or they went through all the packages they have and counted up the 2171 applications. So, all in all, I think that people that have already applied for this NOC should be safe.

I had my FSW application for NOC 2171 delivered to CIC by July 4th and was waiting optimistically for my CC to be charged. It was on 15th Nov'14 that I eventually saw my whole bundle returned to me by CIC (they had posted it through normal post which took almost 2 months to reach me) with a letter from CIC that there are couple of documents missing and are to be resubmitted again. There was no mention of any rejection or deemed in the letter from CIC.

I wasted no time and pooled up the required documents (which were simple) and within a day I resent the whole application on 17th Nov'14 with a covering letter along with the documents. While I checked online for the No. of applications received towards 2171 it stated just 558 and hence I was kind of positive about my chances.

My parcel got delivered on 21st Nov to CIC and the very same day I saw the update that 2171 NOC reached the 1000 cap.

What do you guys feel ??? should I be optimistic or practical ?? wats awaiting ahead for me ? ??? ??? :'( :'( :'( :'(

Krisharyan, by the time the CAP for 2171 was updated to 1000 the latest CC charge happened was for a 4th September 2171 application. I do not think that November applications for 2171 category will make it to the CAP. Perhaps you could have attempted for a different NOC while re-filing your application. By the way, can you please share which documents were missing? Why was the application returned?

The documents were pertaining to company reference letters and my birth certificate.

CAP REACHED...so disappointed...in this case, are we need to resubmit all things again when Express Entry open in Jan 2015 ? or rest of applicants will fall into Express Entry automatically ? :-[ :-[
