Yup, just our luck that our files get transferred to one of the few VOs slower than NDVO. Why, oh why, couldn't it have been Colombo?

Agreed that WVO is slow, rather very slow.

Hope their push our NOC on top priority, just being optimistic ;D

Yet we are faster compare to sept applicants.

Hi everyone,

just 2 questions please:

1. Does anybody know how to insert timeline information on the left side, please? I can't get it...
2. Once we get our PR status, are we restricted to find a job as per NOC 2131, or can we get any job?

Thanks and good luck to everybody :D

Answers to your queries:
1. Go to "Profile" at the top right corner of the page. You can enter your profile details there. But I think you need to have made a minimum number of posts before you can enter your details. Not sure what that number is. Others, correct me if I am wrong.
2. You can become a gas station attendant, a cab driver, a janitor, or anything you please once you have got your PR status. In fact, if what I've been reading on other threads about the job scene in Canada is true, we may actually end up doing those kinds of jobs when we get there. So, be prepared, and along with practising for your licensure exams, practise how to handle a broom and mop, as well. ;D

Oh. So which university did you go to? How good is there MSc program in structures? I am planning to enroll for my Masters once I get there (can't think of a better way to spend my time while waiting for the economy to pick up.). How is university of Alberta? Or university of Calgary?
Another thing, could you share a bit of info about the Indian student demographics at the Canadian universities? I will be about 38 years old by the time I enroll. I'm guessing I will be nearly twice the age of most Indian students there. Are there older students at all enrolling in the course (of any nationality)?

Regards,
Rahul.

I went to Western, and MSc in structures is really good, but geo-tech is better. I did M.E in structures. If you are planning to live in Alberta then UoA and UoC is a definitely better option than any other university.

As far as you have talked about age, I studied at Western and I am from Pakistan. I was 23 when started my masters and my first group mate from Pakistan was 56, so I do not think that really matters, as long as you are good at studies and helpful. You'll find every age group at masters level.

wish you luck
