I am not from Canada, and I really do not know the routes of that country. However, I am planning to have a vacation in that place this coming 2 months. I hope I can find a good spot.

Vancouver is best for hospitality related jobs

Dear Explorer,

Thank you for your reply !!!

I would vote for Toronto. following reasons:

1. Large job pool, so more oppurtunities.
2. Less expensive than Vancouver.
3. Weather is colder than Vancouver but manageable.
4. Overall, better place to look for vocational jobs to start with till you get the job of your choice.

Rest as you wish.

Best of luck.

Toronto (and to a lesser extent, Niagara) will be my choice as well. The hospitality business in Canada usually booms during the summer and early fall months....especially in historic cities (like Halifax) and cities where there are lots of activities (Toronto, Niagara, Vancouver, etc). Niagara's economy is obviously embedded in its tourism because of the Falls. If you are purely into hotels/hospitality, you may want to start in Toronto and explore the Ontario region before heading to Vancouver. Vancouver is a relatively more expensive city to settle in. Regardless, you may need to explore major cities to see where you fit, your lifestyle, and your career prospects. Goodluck!

Dear prof456 and Yahoo India,

Thank you for your valueable comments

Dear Avishek,

I m also from Hospitality Industry and i m also planing to go to TORONTO since i have heard job prospects are more then any other state.

What about u which city are u planning......

Abhi

Dear Abhi,

As every1 suggested, i am going to concentrate on landin in toronto first........BTW IT IS -16 DEGREES TODAY.

At the same time, using websites like hcareers.ca and others, start marketing yourself already. You never know, u may get a job even before u land.....I have been lucky once.

Remember, you are a product, so market yourself as much as you can for max result.......ALL ACROSS CANADA.

For your NOC, any & every city shall suit u fine.
However, it'll be wise to do your first landing in the main metros viz. Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver [little difficult nowadays], Montreal, Calgary etc. as most jobs r concentrated there.

But, I understand that u have already booked for Toronto; and that's just fine. Besides the other job portals, Workopolis is also quite good. And it'd be wise to register with some of the reputed HR Consultants while at Toronto.

All the best !
