Hi PMM and other senior members i spoke about my wifes passport which is in india and i have a request to submit passport in london for PR Canada

I spoke to indian passport services and asked them if a passport can be sent from india to outside country? They say indian passport can not be sent through courier/mail and also cannot be sent through some person in hand travelling..Only applicant himself can take his passport when the vissa is issued and there is no other way..They say you can post or somebody else could take but its own your own risk and its not legal.I tried to call chc london office and they mentioned to come personaly on thursday 2- 3 at the passport submission services with your passport and try to explain them this situation they might help you..?Now i,m confused

CHC London says Visa stamping would be done in London.
Indian passport services say Passport cannot be sent on any way from india outside only the applicant himself can carry the passport provided he has visas.
I,m planning to go tommorow to london office with my passport and try to explain them the situation?I called london office and the lady advised me to do this...

Any suggestions PMM and other senior members plz Help..

Passports are not allowed to send through courier outside country. Your wife has to prsent her passort to CHC London by herself.

I'm just curious how they'd find out if someone takes it out of the country for her and then posts it to CHC London? Or is it CHC London that requires her to come in person?

Most of the people who have this problem either carry their passports themselves, or ask a relative to carry it for them.

It's not the best solution, since it would be more convenient to send it by courier. But most people do it this way.

I personally think that's not the smartest thing to do. Just get someone traveling to take the passport with them. It shouldn't be a huge deal.

Unfortunately not. You have to submit them all together. She doesn't have to land at the same time, though.

Why don't you just book a short trip for yourself to London? You can go to the visa office in London and get all of the passports stamped in just a day or two. Then you can return to India to pick up your family.

Hello Karanveer,

thaiguy's sugestion is fine. Even if you are in London at present, just travel to India carry all the passports of your family and travel back to London get visa stamped and go back to India to hand over the passports of your family to them. You are not going to cary your families passports in your hand to show it to immigration people at Delhi airport (I beleive you got my point) After that you can plan your further travel to Canada for Landing.

Good Luck

Hi Karanvir,

Why dont you send a copy of letter received from CHC requesting passport of yourself and wife to india and your wife can apply a visa, showing a letter as there is a reason for her to go to London and she might get visa .

hi Guys i got somebody coming to to england next week can get my wifes passport..I went to chc personaly this thursday and immig. officer told me they need my passport and my wife passport and they dont care whichever way i give it to them..I mean they dont care if there is a UK visa stamp on my wifes passport or not..They told me either my wife apply for the VISA FOR UK.OR send by courier or through somebody.I think passport can be sent out of india thorough somebody.last page of indian passport is read as..passport should not be sent out of the country.it should be in the custody in eitherof the holder or of a person authorised by the holder. So if the person is authorised he can take out........and then i can get it stamped......from LONDON..

we have told u before in ur last post, u are not allowed to send ur passport either by courier or by other person, even though u try to smuggle ur passport outside and get the visa from london, ur wife will be prosecuted on the airport immigration in india and wont be allowed to leave because she has gained visa in absentia she may be even sent to prison because its a crime, when u knew it before ur wife cannot visit uk, u should have applied in india for ur canada immigration and not in london.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
and one more thing if u try to smuggle ur wifes passport with somebody else u r not only putting ur wifes life in trouble but even the other innocent persons life.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
u should go and explain to cic london only they can can help u
