The news to HOLD/PAUSE issuing Visa till 2013 (from any Visa Office) is a "Breaking News".

The so called "Operational Requirements" should have been declared on CIC website with proper reference to Actual dates....not just "resume visa issuance in the Federal Skilled Worker category in 2013 "

This is either a prank or a miscommunication from the original poster.

I got the same response from VO for my enquire about my status, i submitted my PP a month before, can i be sure the issuance of visa on that time? even they didn't
update about my medical ,there is no medical line on my Ecas i did my medical before 2.5 months.

what does that mean ''oprational requirement '' if i have a problem on medical will they delay the process
by giving this type of reason? i know the answer is no but i am confused about this reply why they asked me
to submit my PP and gave this reason? pls any one who
can explain about this?

I couldn't agree with you more! Some VOs are still issuing visas. The operational requirement may therefore be peculiar to the VO in question due to visa quota. This would have made headlines just like the pause on FSW did. CIC is basically saying:
"Note: As of July 1, 2012, CIC will temporarily stop accepting applications for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP). This temporary pause does not apply to those with a qualifying job offer or applying under the PhD stream. We will likely start accepting applications again when the revised FSWP selection criteria take effect. Proposed FSWP changes should come into force in early 2013".

I am pre June 2010 applicant, and I have done medicals and I have received PPR, my application was going smoothly until I received this email from my Vo as a reply to my CSQ, which says

"Kindly note that the passports and other documents were received.

However, due to operational requirements, we will resume visa issuance in the Federal Skilled Worker category in 2013.

Kindly advise us should you require your passports in the meantime. We will accept the return of passports to our office on 10 January 2013."

and this what exactly it says, my belief is that may be the quota for 2012 is completed and they are waiting 2013 to issue visa in FSW category.

that's what I understand from this message, it is a matter of time.

I am agree with edla. its true with Nairobi even. dis is d standard mail dey sent to my agent, too. but, still depends on vo. so, m waiting for jan now. but most probabely will ask chc to get my son's passport as he gona travel sm other country. such a bad news for yr end.
