Yes, it is a virtual oath ceremony on Zoom. I have also received an email from the local IRCC office with all instructions.

Citizenship

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on 6 August , 2019.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on October 21, 2019.
3. We started processing your application on November 10, 2019.
4. We sent you a notice on January 13, 2020 to appear and write the citizenship test on February 2, 2020 at 2:00 PM. The notice you will receive by mail will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
5. We sent you a notice on February 21, 2020 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on March 23, 2020 at 1:00 PM. The notice you will receive will be your official confirmation of your appointment. If you have not received this notice prior to the date of your scheduled appointment, please contact us.
6. We sent you a notice on July 26, 2020 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on August 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Hello, I am still waiting for the certificate but my application status changed to became Canadian Citizen on July 22.

My ecas start showing "you become Canadian Citizen from 22nd July,2020" Even today I haven't got certificate. What about you? We will share as and certificate is received.

I got in exactly 14 days.

They are only working on applicants their oath got canceled, so whoever has decision made status only with no previous oath scheduled, patience is your only friend . The agent over the phone said citizenship applications are not our priority for now.

That is not accurate. Many members here have reported getting a first (virtual) oath. The issue is nobody knows what IRCC is doing. Zero transparency, zero consistency! Patience is the only priceless possession right now..

Congratulations on receiving citizenship certificate within weeks time. Will you pl share as to whether the date on your Citizenship certificate
is same as of date of of your virtual ceremony or not? My virtual oath was on 22nd July 2020 and my CPC is Scarborough. I am also expecting my
Citizenship by next week.

I agree with you I'm always getting different information every time I call and non of them is accurate , to be honest with you they stress me out for nothing . I guess I'm just going to stop calling because it's useless to call . I'm waiting for my oath like the rest with no previous oath have been scheduled or canceled in the past , I just have a decision made status .
