I've read several threads from this forum that argue that you should not have any problems at the port of entry if you don't have your Letter of Introduction because the visa officer has that information in the system.
However, I've read of people having problems when boarding their flights because the airlines are instructed to request the Letter of Introduction to make sure you have all the required documentation to enter the country.
