Question for those who may know this. I am Canadian sponsoring my American wife outland. I have been working and filing taxes in the US for 17 years and do not have access to an option "C" . If I understand correctly, I can submit my last years (2012) taxes and a letter stating why I have omitted the option "C" form. I am hoping this is right...I understand spousal sponsors don't have to make a certain amount of money to sponsor their spouses so not sure what the big deal is. Am I correct or close on any of this? Please only respond if you really know one way or the other as we are trying to do this thing right the first time and avoid delays and/or lawyer fees. I paid a lawyer an awful lot of money to help with my green card and at my interview, the immigration guy told me it was relatively easy to do yourself and I wasted my money. We are trying to be meticulous on this outland application so we can get home buy mid December of this year. They seem to make it awful tedious for a Canadian guy who just wants to bring his wife home to the best country in the world. . Thanks in advance for the advice!
