No marriage certificate (india)

Hello Seniors ,

I got the ITA based on the ontario nomination.
I recently got married thefore update my status from single to married .
unfortunately i was not able to register my marriage on time and i am not sure i will be able to get my marriage certificate on time .i only have to 25 days to submit doc now.
1) do they ask for marriage certificate if your spouse is not included.
2) what else can i do withouthavin to provide marriage certificate.

You can request to the Indian authorities for your marriage certificate. They will issue. Submit it

Where in India did you get married? I got my marriage certificate the next day of registration

there are agents to get you within a day or two or ask some lawyer to do that.

yeah anything is possible if you are on groundzero ( i.e. physically in India). I know if youare not already married there is a one month period where you have to wait but if you are already married and can present wedding invitation card/photographs of wedding you can get it quick.

I dont have any first hand experience but hear these stories often from my indian friends

you can get marriage certificate form corporation office. you need below mentioned docs original as well as photocopy.

1. Voter ID of you and your Spouse
2. ration card of you and your spouse
3. 2 passport size photos
4. marriage ceremony invitation card
5. parents voter ID cards
6. marriage ceremony photos.
7. 2 witness

you also need to take pandit to the office along with his photo ID.

you will get marriage certificate within 2 days after submitting all the docs.

I am not scaring him... I got my marriage certificate few months back... And this the process i went through....
