no letter for sponsering spouse

So I called the CIC to find out about when a letter would be sent out regarding the processing of our application. Turns out that if your sponsering your spouce, common law or conjunal partner you dont get a letter. Now if you are sponsering a parent or grandparent you will get a letter because the wait is so long. would be nice to know this before hand!!

if u apply inland, they dont send any letter till 6 months passes.

If im correct if you are the one getting sponsed and your doing it outland then your sponsor will get a letter to say that they
have been approved to sponser you. Were are you doing it from? are you in New Zealand and your sponser is in canada?
