Hello Everyone,
I'm a PR holder sponsoring my wife(living in India) and wanted to clarify some doubts.
We got married (nikkah: muslim marriage ceremony) on August 3rd 2024, and were only able to get the marriage registration done at a local SRO office on August 29th 2024. Went on a honeymoon trip after the nikkah and reception that took place shortly after that. Opened a bank joint account on August 17th.
Now that all the proof of relationship is present before August 29th, how would i prove this to immigration? Would I mention August 3rd as the date of our marriage or August 29th?
Any input on this would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Honestly as long as you have all of the information, along with proof (Photos), you can create a Letter of Explanation to attach to the proof section and explain the situation. The application process takes into account different culture related things.

Thanks a lot for your response. I will certainly include all the proof and LOE, but would i state Aug 3rd or Aug 29th as my marriage date?
