Yea ..$500 shouldn't be an issue each time it is demanded as you don't have the time for all that. That is harsh to you?

When you don't have an answer to a question shut up your mouth and stop showing your ignorance and stupidity.
Go pay...that is someone's job. No contract? I know u all are pretenders...not good pple!

Good morning everyone. We got a letter from our agent saying we have been asked to send in our passports for stamping but we have to pay them $500 before the can send us the letter from accra.

Please for those who have gotten the ppr letter, what were you asked to send alongside your passport? I will appreciate if someone can send me a pm with what their ppr letter looked like. These agents are just overpriced for nothing. I don't advice anyone to pay $3500 to an agent. With benefit of hindsight, It's waste of resources.

Thanks and God bless.

Sure ... Why not? Please check your inbox... Cheers! By the way, congrats on receiving your PPR.

Chizurum, I advise you pay the agent because its too LTE in the day to disengage simply because you have 15 days to send your documents. Its the final stage so just get it done.

However the first question you should ask yourself is this: Are the additional funds i am paying part of the contract i signed? If they are, then its criminal not to pay. If they are not, then simply play along, pay and get your visa. After that compile the list of all extra charges paid and a copy of your contract and forward these to CIC, reporting the agent. If the agent is a CIC recognized agent, I am sure CIC will do something about the agent, probably delist the agent.

Thanks so much thebaft. You rock. You gave me the exact answer to my simple question. I can't remember saying I wasn't going to pay or looking to disengage at this point. I just wanted to see what the letter usually contained so I could prepare while I wait for mine.

Thanks again and stay blest.

It's the generic form.but it's not compulsory you send if family composition hasn't changed.
In my case,I sent even though family composition hadn't changed but someone else I know didn't send yet he got his visas.

@ ferdimako, calm down. Nobody dey collect blank cheque for advise here oooo nor is there a special trophy for those that didn't use agents. Respect is Reciprocal. As far as it depends upon us, lets all try to be as civil as possible.

May God grant us all our heart desires.

@ Nanoye
Yeah Nanoye, registration as a professional Engineer may give an edge in ones profession. For one to practise or called him or herself an Engineer in most of the province in Canada, one needs to have an Engineering designation which is PEng. This comes with registration with the Engineering body in your province, passing the Law & Ethics exam (or any other exams, e.g. FE exam/Technical exams, if needed) and having the relevant engineering/technical experience.

That being said, the Engineer in Training (EIT) is also a designation towards the PEng designation which one may get after registering and having your application reviewed by the Engineering body in your province. This is reviewed based on one's qualification and experience.
