Landed safely. No POF requested and no hassles whatsoever. The city is organized and life here look promising. Catholic schools are usually the most preferred for kids.

Hello fellow members, its been a while for me on these forum cause I was asked to send further documents even after medicals but to the glory of the Almighty God,we received our PPR some hours ago. I pray that d rain of PER,MR,PPR and PRV will continue to flow heavily IJN.
In the PPR mail, there is something about updating 1MM8 form or so,a form about height, eye colour and stuffs.does it always come in that format for everyone that has received it.
Pls do get in touch as I need to know how to go about it.

I PAID ONLINE and I asked them if it's OK to send the printed copy of the RPRF receipt of the online payment as a proof of RPRF payment. They responded to let me know that "the electronic copy will suffice. No need to send a hardcopy." (their exact words). So I believe they accepted the online payment. The 2nd and 3rd lines have since been added to my status.

However, the processing may be delayed because I am still waiting for a clearance certificate from FBI because I spent more than 6 months in the US in the past. I have notified them and they said it's OK to send it in whenever it's ready.

Conclusion: ONLINE PAYMENT IS ACCEPTABLE, but everybody should do whatever is convenient for him/her. Draft is much safer since that is what they recommended on the AVO website and there is no risk of paying on the wrong website for example.

Definitely, I suggest you get those online and have them delivered to you before you leave and now is the best time to get them as they'll have all types and great discounts as black Friday (Nov 28) is around the corner. You can also try www.ASOS.com, they ship to Nigeria

NB do get those that are insulated with hoodies.

Thanks...

Good news guys,

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-card.asp

Time to process PR Cards has been reduced. This will favour most people that would like to take leave, then land. It means you might have your card before leaving.

Congrats to all those with Mpale leaves already.....

Please you guys to carry us along on your landing processes and the things you need to have with you for landing as we all hope and prepare.

Fantastic information.... Thanks

I think you should get the best winter cloths in Canada which is customized for Canada's kind of winter cold. You can get good and cheap ones at Walmart In Canada on your arrival. You may not be able to get the right Winter cloth here in Nigeria i will advise you keep your hard earned money to buy the right and appropriate stuff that will serve your purpose when you land there.

Thanks. I figured that since we are landing right before xmas (at a possible minus 12 degrees in Calgary), we should have at least some protection as we land at the airport.

i hear person fit freeze to death just getting off the plane.

So i eventually bought our winter gear off amazon using my local atm card and had it delivered to a friend coming into the country today. By this evening we should have our clothes/accessories
