Last year I sent AVO my updated work reference and I used the opportunity to update my POF. Though I only got the nod to send my updated work reference, I wasn't asked to send a any POF. So if you have other grounds to send anything to ACCra, you can attach an updated POF. Just my thinking.

Nice Idea, I did not send a police report with my application, wondering if asked to send will just attach POF to it. Also what is ECAS?

Tx

Good day all,

Usually, when you are sent medical request you will be asked to update your POF.

ECAS= Electronic Client Application Status. Its an on-line checking of your application status on the CIC website.

I have actually read this before.I wonder how she managed to scale through central intake office,Nova Scotia only for Accra to say that she did not get enough points. Was it that ,CIO made a mistake or what could have happened? From all indications, she did not contest the verdict from Accra.God help us all. I believe that they have started opening our files for review and assigning it to different visa officers. We really need to pray to get the visa officer that will divinely favour our file and over look anything that looks petty.

The application is not recent. How do I know?
The maximum points for the 6 selection factors have changed from what it was when Kemi applied.
Age is now 12 and not 10, Experience is now 15 and not 21, Language Skill is now 28 and not 24.
Accra may have been the first point of contact when Kemi submitted her application so Nova Scotia did not see it before it got to Accra. so Nova Scotia did not make a mistake.
Kemi's IELTS (language proficiency) score would have disqualified her if the application was recent.
Finally like someone earlier said here, it is just a good practice for someone informing AVO about increase in family size to have included an updated POF.

My submission is that Kemi's case might be old but we can still learn from it and we shouldn't allow it to confuse us. This is not an indication that AVO has started opening FSW2013 files

But Kemi still did not get 67 points to qualify.I am not sure of updating POF without them asking. They usually ask for this.

That's another reason why individuals should assess themselves objectively before going ahead with the application. For example, she should not have applied with that IELTS score but that was the practice before the FSW2013. You just submit every trash that you have and hope for the best. From 2013, they have slightly raised the entry level requirements with the minimum IELTS scores and mandatory credential evaluation.

Interestingly, there is an update from CIC for FSW 2014 applicants. This is coming faster than ours. Now,that means for those who have Accra as their VO,will have their files sent down. This comes immediately after our files which we have not start hearing anything about.Their intention is to finish up by December 2014.Hmmmm,with ours still with them and another set just joining, what is really happening?EOI will likely start in JHanuary of 2015.

You guys shoudnt worry, I have a strong conviction dat 2013 applicants wuld be asked for d tripple request which other VO's do ask, so it may all be over soon and besides we ain't much
