Hi EVERYONE,

My wife also wanted to change her name from maiden to marital.....but i was informed that you could only get another international passport made in Abuja, and nowhere else...does anyone know anything about this...or are the Nigerian immigration guys trying to rip me off??!!!
I would like to know if you can get another international passport elsewhere?....Thanks.

Hello Drhils,

My wife changed hers last year and she had to go to Abuja. Anyone that promises to do it for you outside there might be a scam.

Thebaft I am sure if you ask most 2013 applicants they will tell you we weren't even expecting MR this soon, it came as a shock to be honest but I sure like that second line. Everyone will share in this feeling. But it appears that with the AVO the higher you go the hotter it becomes. I am just now more curious than ever. Whats next after MR will PPR come or interview or what really?..

Good morning all,

Gofame, Pickabeau and Dada-Karma, get ready for the MR good news this week!

Congrats, Floxzy. Interview is doubtful and would likely be waived. Most of the FSW 2011 applicants who have since gone confirmed that there was no interview for them. I don't expect AVO to bring that up now when they are working to clear your batch (FSW 2013). Unless they need serious clarification with your application, I see smooth sailing to PPR for you :)

Thank you Pipis Husband. May it be so for all of us. Expecting MR emails any moment who will be the first to break the silence.......

Canada’s most (and least) attractive cities to live and work

Yesterday, the Conference Board of Canada released a report ranking the best places in Canada to live and work. 50 cities and towns were given a grade from A to D representing how attractive they are as destinations for skilled workers to choose.

The regions were assessed by the following factors: society, health, economy, environment, education, innovation and housing. The report notes, “Attracting skilled workers is crucial to the competitiveness of Canada and its cities. Communities that fail to attract new people will struggle to stay prosperous and vibrant.”

According to the Conference Board, only six cities in Canada receive top marks. Waterloo, Calgary, Ottawa, Richmond Hill, Vancouver, and St. John’s were all given the A grade as the country’s top place to live. That means, these regions are seen as destinations of choice for a mobile workforce, for reasons such as their strong economy, culture of innovation, or overall high quality of life.

Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, and Halifax all fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum.

At the bottom end of the rankings 13 cities were given the D grade, receiving low marks for economy, innovation, society and education. Hamilton, Brampton, Greater Sudbury, Windsor, Barrie, St. Catharines, Brantford, Cambridge, Oshawa, Abbotsford, Trois-Rivières, and Saint John all showed little population growth or prospects for attracting new skilled workers.

MR will come very soon, AVO needs to clear backlogs fast to give room for the express entry program else there wont be any. I am trusting God everything works out just that way. Sometime in may my status was reading MR July/August and someone made fun of it so I removed it only to get the MR in August so I have decided again to continue believing..
